As a tanker who has taken up LLAV's as a method to actually make Isk instead of hovering around semi-profit. It works well, but I'm wanting to do a bit better with it.
So vehicle fitting I feel pretty good on, but dropsuits in uprising I'm a bit clueless.
I'm trying to figure out which suit would be best for driving in. My thought is as much buffer as possible, repping can be done after the retreat at a supply depot. I'm trying to keep the price down for profitability purposes.
I'm thinking a heavy suit is probably best, high base hp stats so it doesn't need many modules (Isk) to get a decent buffer out of it. Any suggestions as to which one? I've noticed the amarr specific suits do cost less, but also have less high slots for possible shield buffer.
Or am I looking at this wrong should go straight shield tanking with an assault/logi suit?
TL:DR- best hp/Isk suit? |

Militia Heavy suit. Fit for tanking with militia gear. Cheap and sturdy.
If you plan to stay with a vehicle role I would currently not invest any SP into drop suits until we see what the pilot suit holds for us. |

This. Go MLT heavy, slap a MLT forge on there just in case you run into a tank, SMG+flux in case you have to deal with infantry. Use a shield recharger and armor repper on the heavy suit for slightly better hit and run. This shouldn't cost more than ~5k, and if for some reason you're forced out of your murder taxi (FUUUU, btw), you can still be somewhat effective. |

At this point you're probably either getting popped by lucky AV nades or you drive too predictably, since in most matches, no one is going to manage to put down ~800 damage to your heavy suit while you're driving/dodging. |
