not sure if this is the place to put it but my corp did its first planetary conquest battle at 09:50 eve time on the 16th not sure if thats the 17th eve time but either way it was our firs battle it was on altbrard district 8 vs the tickle monsters. we get in there and they brought in a corp that is in the top 5 or 6 on the leaderboards nyane sin or something i dont remember the spelling and when the match started immediately they brought in proto tanks and gunnlogies several of them we never stood a chance we lost all our clones in 5 min we only got 15-20 kills i heard that thats is against the rules to bring in a big corp like they did basically we just thew our money at pc with no way we could of won whatsoever now i dont know what can be done about it but if its really against the rules something should be done because it was in no way a fair fight it was a slaughter i got my corp to stay up at that terrible hour only to get into an immpossible game vs a corp who shouldnt of been allowed in. |

While it is sad that you got stomped by Nyian San, it is completely acceptable that they do such a thing, that is always a concious risk you do when you go into battles like these. |

Like everybody else said, nothing wrong with bringing in ringers. Next time you might consider doing it yourselves, nothing like paying a mercenary to do the dirty work.
Edit: Just realized my post might have come off a little cold, while I do feel for you because there is nothing fun about getting completely stomped like that. But it is completely within the spirit of fighting in New Eden, its not about honor its about winning. |

Congratulations on entering PC, it's quite a challenge to go up against a full 16 team of organised players.
PC matches are the big league.
Don't feel too bad about your defeat. I seem to go up against 'The Tickle Monsters' on a daily basis on the Oceanic server. They are small dedicated corp with close ties to Nyain San. You often see them squaded up together in Public Matches. I'll just say that each one of their members has the skills and equipment to be in Nyain San if they choose.
First off, owning land in PC is serious business due to the money you can make by selling clones each day so defending it is vital. Remember we're mercenaries, therefore you if you can't field a whole team yourself, you either need to be in an Alliance or pay some other mercenaries to fight along side you. The Tickle Monsters rely on Nyain San as their mercenary support.
Secondly, expect everyone to be geared to the highest spec with full Proto gear as a minimum, with rare Officer Weapons making an appearance on the odd occasion. So unless you've come to some agreement before the match (I think in the recent war between LoI and EoN. they agreed not to use Flaylocks and Contact Grenades) expect all players to be running their best equipment.
Don't let this set back put you off though. Before we left PC, we spent a week fighting The Tickle Monsters / Nyain San and finally reclaimed a district with some very close games going either way. They are beatable.
Just don't expect PC to be like a public match where the stakes aren't as high, this is where losing really counts. Treat the lose of ISK as an expensive lesson. Skill up, gear up, train hard and come back at them when you're ready. |

I can't help but find this hilarious as I see these same problems transfer over into EVE.
People seem to think these games are played like Chess and you and the opponent are equals.
The game isn't about playing fair, it's about destroying your enemy.
The game should be played somewhat like this:
Corp A attacks Corp B ->Corp A beats Corp B ->Corp B complains it wasn't fair while Corp A mocks them on the forums causing some members in Corp B to get emotional about a game and they decide to play BF3 instead, which causes Corp B to crumble because their member base deteriorates, and no one signs on, and now everything Corp B has worked on has been destroyed by themselves and Corp A and who understands there is a meta-game aspect and it's very important. |

Id first like to say that i am sorry that your first experience in PC wasn't a particularly good one, i know how exciting the first one is and getting smashed is never fun. However i am kind of dissapointed that you would say it was all nyains doing as the 3 tanks called in were all ours ( blaze, Sgt merch, Bear 90210) and that the top spots at the score board at the end belonged to Tickles ( I know for a fact bear came first). The main thing nyain did that match was hold B in the city and troll you guys on the really tall building with forge guns.
I also noticed that deathdealer 24 was the only person i saw wearing a prototype suit, all of the core tickle monster players we can field all have prototype gear so coming in with a bunch of under equipped new players was never going to end well even if we could have fielded an all tickle monsters roster, which unfortunately we rarely can. I can see it was not too dissheartening as you guys now have a spot next to us! We look forward to seeing you guys in the future.
Also liked to thank or Nyain buddies alot for their continued support in filling the gaps in our line ups, you guys have really been a big help to us and its always a pleasure to fight along side you guys.

I think this is definitely a case of HTFU. Relying on friendly relationships with others either through mutual trust or politics and winning battles simply by preparing for the battle better is a huge component of what makes Eve and Dust interesting and unique.
