With only 5 months left, will we see any of this content implemented by the date Executive Producer of Dust 514 Brandon Laurino promised? Keep in mind this article was published Mar 24th 2012, so they have had 16 months since the article was published and not one feature has gone live.
If 50% of the features mentioned by Mr. Laurion are implemented by the end of the year, I will be a VERY HAPPY player! |

When this article was published there was not even the Closed Beta. This might have been released if CCP left the game as it was in June-August with Militia=BPO, Skirmish 1.0 free HAVs and Dropships and Sagaris for 200k. They threw all over then because it was unbalanced and many players had about 50% of the Skills on Lvl 5 in these 2 months. It was a good decision but then everything had to be balanced again. Til now. |

the road map changed last summer, and again during the winter, and again in march. things change, plans change, and mostly it's because the community has asked for other things to be a priority, which most of them should be.so I'm going with E, things beyond his control. |

Yeah no, plans change, and there's absolutely no hurry; DUST is already the laughing stock of FPSes, repairing that is going to take years. I'll be sticking around for the ride, and I've no doubt everything will get its turn at the love machine eventually...
I mean, it took 10 years for EVE to lose the "EVE Online: A terrible game" tag. I expect the same for "DUST 514: Poster child for wasted potential". |

It's been a difficult development for sure.
And before it's over, we 'beta' testers may just go down in the history books as having lived through the most hellish, frustrating alpha experience in the history of gaming ;P
I can't help thinking CCP Unifex would 'make it right' - mobile presence is pointless until CCP's Dust 514 product is working as intended. It's the right direction to focus on for sure, but it's a wee bit cart before the horse atm.
If i were king, Jon Lander would be the God-Emperor of Dust. |

I hope not, I mean pve will be important but we need more/optimized pvp content badly atm.
pve will be a breathe of fresh air i'll admit, but just adding a new game mode that isn't a re hash of skirmish would also accomplish the same thing. |

Erm. Semantics. If it is not there, it is not implemented. Being part of the game and played by players is refered to as "there", which ilies that this is implemented and in the game. |

The reason they are not chasing us could be because their A.I. sucks and is still learning from our everyday gameplay. If AI sucks it will be farmed for ISK, SP and WP. 10 year plan. lol More like 25 year plan. cause when the 10 year plan is finished, it will take 15 more years for them to transition to the newest console, cause by then PS3 (if it hasn't already) will be done.
10 year plan... politicians offer 10 year plans and people buy that bull. Same with dust also. |
