I found what appears to be the Amarr shotgun earlier

Second from the left on the bottom row. Someone said the barrel doesn't look like a shotgun, but keep in mind weapons aren't exactly designed like they are in our modern day. For reference, check out the barrel on the Gallente plasma shotgun,

So yeah, I near 100% sure that's the Amarr shotgun.

It's definitely needed, if just so RPers can roll fully in their preferred faction. Though there's other things, like damage to shields verse damage to armor. The Gallente plasma shotgun is 110% shields 90% armor, but this Amarr shotgun would be 120% shield 80% armor and the Minmatar one would be 80% shield 120% armor. Also you can have varying attributes like power versus fire rate or the amount of spread. Currently the Gallente plasma shotgun has a very focused shot with little spread which means it can do high damage if you make a hit but it's pretty difficult to get that hit. |

Second row second from the left looks more like the Caldari Gauss Rifle to me.
Reason I say its the Amarr shotgun is because it definitely appears to be a shotgun and it's definitely not Caldari or Minmatar, and the Gallente already have one. I can sort of see Amarr aesthetics in it but agree it's not super evident.
As far as the second row second from the right, definitely appears to be the Amarr anti-vehicle weapon. Third row far left looks like the Amarr heavy laser weapon too. But now I'm getting off topic.
Honestly I don't see why people think it would be redundant to add racial versions for shotguns.

Hum, laser based SMG... 0.o YES GIVE ME THAT LASER SMG! \......What I'm really hanging out for is a spear melee weapons.....one that I can pair with a riot shield! As much as I'd like a laser SMG, I'd have a hard time giving up my scrambler pistol.

I love that thing so much, have a hard time parting from it with any fit.

It doesn't say anything clearly to me. I was recently discussing this again and it can't be Gallente not only because Gallente already has a shotgun, but because it also doesn't have the plasma coil that every other Gallente weapon has.
Then do more elimination. It's too curvy for a Caldari weapon and too nice for a Minmatar weapon. Also it has a similar grip as the Laser Rifle and Scrambler Rifle. |

The Amarr shotgun could work sort of like the assault forge gun, a brief charge up time which immediately fires upon completion. Give it a bunch of damage but also the potential to overheat. |
