Denak Kalamari wrote: "Oh no, please feel free to use this place as long as you wish. I don't visit this place that often anymore anyway." He assures, bowing his head while looking over the shelves and the door leading to his private quarters. "You want tea? Considering the circumstances you are technically my guests." He also asks, he always had a stash of tea ingredients stored in case it was ever needed.
As Satja moved off into the small side room Kador felt a growing sense of relief.
He sighed again, relieved.
"Tea would be very nice Denak.... I need something. Tonight has been trying.... May I sit?" He gestured to the leather couch
Denak Kalamari wrote: Denak did notice how well dressed Satja was, despite her being a slave, but he didn't mind it, he found it quite fitting for her actually, despite her worn down looks from the rush in the club.
"Yes I do, over here. You can sleep there too if you decide to stay here that long." He replies, gesturing towards the door leading to his private quarters, looking exactly like a Gallente mercenary quarters. "If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask me."
"We appreciate your hospitality. I am not willing to risk another encounter with another first generation.... Satja is more fragile than most of our kind" he tried to lie smoothly, thought he words came out broken and unconvincing.
The Intaki Emissary was a calm place, Kador could feel it in the air, he exactly sure what is was, maybe the painting exploited the senses, they certainly were beautiful, or perhaps it was the close walls that simply suited.
" I cannot help but wonder what that Gallentean was on about". He spat out the word Gallentean with a surprising bitter edge. |

Denak Kalamari wrote: Denak let out another sigh, looking down at the liquid in his own teacup. He was well aware that Satja was a sensitive subject to Kador, but he couldn't help sating his curiosity. That's why he put himself at an arm's length away from the Paladin, in case he would react in a, hostile manner. He also had great respect for Kador, but from the look in his eyes, it was apparent that he could be attacking Denak if he further stirred things up. He would not hesitate to fight back if Kador decided to attack.
Denak shakes his head solemnly, looking back into Kador's eyes.
"You don't need to apologize, Satja obviously means a lot to you, and your reaction is understandable." he assures, stirring his tea with a spoon and briefly glancing to the door where Satja was still fixing herself before continuing: "Kador, if I am being too direct, I apologize. I meant no ill with my question, you are just so, protective over her, so I got curious."
He paused briefly to take another sip from his tea, the slightly bitter flavor sticking on his tongue.
"I assure you, I do not have any intentions to be involved with Satja in any manner, good or bad. Even if you aren't her Holder, in the very least you are her guardian, so if I would ever attempt anything with her, I would approach you first."
Starled by the sudden appearance of Jakar, Kador's mouth snaps shut.
The hell did he come from?, he thinks bitterly.
He stands stiffly, and with a voice almost as toneless and strangely dignified as his stance he says. " Ah yes Denak.... I suppose we can discuss this again at a later date. Until then I suppose I should avail myself of your hospitality and find myself somewhere to sleep."
As if on cue from the other room, Satja reappears looking distinctly fresher. Her raven black hair is not so tangled and strung out, the dress, tough stained with blood now looks less dishevelled, and he face is not so pale returning to the strong sun burned ochre of her people.
She nods politely, bows to Denak and then Jakar.
"I am sorry for what happened in the club Mr Umbra, truly. Such violence has no place here." she says with vigour. She then bows to Kador.
" I found a couch and a comfortable looking chair in the offices, perhaps if you help me we can get them out...."
Kador nods. "Excuse me gentlemen. I have to sort out our arrangements. Thank you Denak for all you have done for us. Perhaps later we can talk, but for now I am tired. Should you ever need such hospitality as this you know who to call. We shall be there."
And with that he exits the room, casting a furtive, but cold glare at Jakar. What did he hear? And would he have to break this Immortal to ensure his silence?

Denak Kalamari wrote:When Satja and Kador entered the main room of the emissary, they could see Denak hunched over the desk, his head resting against his arms. He had obviously tried to stay awake the night but failed, as shown by the half-empty cup of coffee on the desk and the NeoCom still open and showing some kind of graph, the pale light of it faintly illuminating the room with a blue glow. He had switched to a new set of clothing though, the old ones half-stuffed into the recycler.
When the door opened and the light from the lobby hit his eyes, Denak started to shift about and grumble a little. He carefully squinted his eyes open to see who was there, adjusting to the sudden burst of light.
"Hrmh, morning.." he mumbled out, reaching for the cup of coffee groggily and taking a sip of it, the liquid was still warm at least. "I hope the chair and couch weren't too uncomfortable." he further adds, downing the rest of the coffee in a swift sip, giving him enough energy to function properly. With a mild yawn and a stretch of his limbs, he pushed himself off the desk to sit straight, closing the NeoCom and looking directly at the two.
Kador sends a sharp, but thankful nod to Denak.
The man looks tired, this was not a face of Denak he had seen before.
"Denak you have done us a great service." He said, Satja echoing his words. " But it is time we go.... perhaps later we can finish our conversation from the other night. Please either come by the Templar cells, or the Praetoriate Emissary so that I may return the favour."
With that the pair leave the Intaki to his....recovery...... |
