ok so i keep reading posts about the lav and people getting shot out of lav. its not the hit box of the lav its the player inside the vehicle thats the problem. when the lav moves(especially at high speeds) the player isnt moving or rather lagging and the player hit box stays in one place while the lav continues on. the player hitbox is actually outside the lav and constantly glitches from the seat to last known position that the server recognizes. its a latency issue. thus when you shoot a lav the player hit box will be hit first. i think this is also effecting scout suits on the ground. the faster you move the bigger chance of lag and your hit box basically becomes the broad side of a barn or is in multple places at once. |

Clean kill :D I'm not talking about when you shoot the driver on a clean shot as it is an open cockpit , i'm referring to when you hit the driver/passenger and has your shot blocked by the vehicle. |

I am just wondering, by the infantry hit box outside the LAV, do you mean you can kill the driver even you are shooting the air or the vehicle? Do you mean that the infantry hit box is actually in front of the where it should be or behind? Yes this is exactly what i mean. |

Not much admittedly but enough to be deadly for Rail Gun Splash damage. Have A Nice Death. Ummm.. what? this isn't real life, its a video game.. you think thats real air your breathing? Once again im not talking about when you have a clean shot on the driver im referring to when a driver/passenger is shot when line of sight is blocked by the vehicle
KalOfTheRathi wrote:Also, my tests have disproven some of the Scout Suit Hit Box being bigger issue. Their bloody arms and weapon are wider when they sprint and therefore must take more room. At least in my few tests. If recording or screen captures were possible then we might solve this a little easier. Oh wait! That is something a developer might be able to borrow from a friend! Or maybe they could enable the hit box to be visible for QA. Nah. Not gonna happen. well there such a way to capture game play and if your doing tests trying to disprove a theory it might be beneficial to record said events. As far as your few tests go i still believe that there is a lag issue with movement speed in the game at the moment. |

So a dev confirms that lag is working as intended? LOL... Test time. Try this guys, gonna need an enemy shooting your lav at the bumper with a blaster turret while not moving. not dying instantly? Now try to drive away and watch how fast you get killed. working as intended?

You can kill the driver and the passenger with a blaster, but it's almost impossibile killing them with an infantry weapon, this can't be by design. Blasters have a blast radius and a much higher direct damage than a gun (even with a proto blaster it takes me quite a few shots to pop off any passenger however). In any case, I'm always aiming for the driver in my tank because they are usually only wearing scout or assault armor and their HP is far less of the tank (even as a heavy). As for shooting drivers out with "normal guns", if the vehicle's driver is within sights, I've shot plenty of drivers out of a vehicle both in motion and otherwise. That being said. I'd be all for the LAV passengers being protected by the vehicle's shields (seems silly that it doesn't already). Then, however, I expect the blasters and railguns to get a serious buff to dmg done in order to disrupt shield protection and be the anti-vehicle and/or anti-infantry they are expected to be. I'd also support a reduction to both guns explosive radius as a side effect of this buff. I think the missile turret makes the most sense as an anti infantry vehicle, with the plaster making up the middle ground between it and the railgun.
blaster turrets do have aoe damage, but unless they have a blast radius of 4+ meters then this is not the reason, try my test and you'll see what im talking about.
