Quote:Range profiles are indicative of a weaponGÇÖs range compared to other weapons in its class. For example, the Rail Rifle has the longest range of the weapon variants in its class (the Assault Rifle, Combat Rifle and Scrambler Rifle being the others) but its range is not equivalent to that of the Sniper Rifle, another railgun-based weapon.
What class are laser rifle, plasma cannon, HMG, shotgun, forge gun, and mass driver in? Are they their own classes?
Is the laser rifle supposed to be like a sniper rifle for laser weapons? Or should it more be thought of as a long range support weapon like a mass driver? |

So the weapon class is 'racial variant weapon' that's boring.
Also, does the laser rifle really slow down players? |

na it doesnt slow people down lol aim assist can help keep you on target a little, that kinda gives that effect to the shooter.
well thats what i call it they may expand each weapon into theyre own class at somepoint i guess |

Aim Assist totally fucks up your aiming, it's better to keep it off, you'll be shooting thin air, slightly behind the person with it on. |

There are many classes of weaponry and each race will get one of each class.
There's frontline rifles, which include the rail rifle, combat rifle, assault rifle, and scrambler rifle. There's pistols, which are the scrambler pistol, flaylock pistol, bolt pistol, and ion pistol. There's sniper rifles, which include the Caldari sniper rifle, Minmatar precision rifle, and yet to be announced Amarr and Gallente variants Close range, which include the Gallente plasma shotgun and the other three yet to be announced Light AV, which are Caldari swarms, Gallente plasma cannon, and yet to be announced Amarr and Minmatar Heavy AV, which we only know of the forge gun Heavy anti-infantry, which we only know of the HMG Knives, which we only know the nova knives Submachine guns with the Minmatar SMG, Caldari Magsec SMG, and Gallente and Amarr versions to be determined The laser rifle and mass driver I haven't been able to pinpoint. They could be in a class together, the "support class," but they seem too different in function.
