First of all faction warfare battles need their own game mode not just another skirmish this would set them apart from any thing you can pick in the instant battles section. You need to be informed that you are helping secure systems for the faction you are fighting for I think everyone just thinks faction warfare is the same thing as a regular skirmish match they need to be informed that these fights have much larger results thus your actions here matter. There needs to be more rewards for supporting your faction and players need to be given more information on what each faction stands for and their history as a part of New Eden. There needs to be more rewards for winning after all you are impacting the system you fight for thus winning should provide an additional bonus to isk pay out and maybe sp pay out. Now here me out a lot of people like to whine when they hear about things like this but I believe if a person supports his faction long enough he should receive a bonus. This could be a factional bonus item, I see great opportunity for faction gear and weapons and things like loyalty points to be added to the game here. Loyalty points will be added when you win the battle for your faction it will a initiative to win the battle. Loyalty points can be spent on rare gear and items for example
spend 100,000 loyalty points on standard assault rifle blueprint? spend 1,000 loyalty points on X10 standard assault rifles spend 250,000 loyalty points on gunloggi blueprint
I would also like to see rewards like blueprints being given out for long term goals for example
you've won 10 battles for the Caldari you have been given 500 extra loyalty points for your dedication to the state you've won 50 battles for the Caldari you have been given a militia swarm launcher ( or a different Caldari weapon) blueprint for your dedication to the state
I believe instant battle should be the bone dry meat mercs run to to cap their sp planetary conquest and faction warfare should, no, needs to show some flare and originality. A good example of Dust mercenaries making an impact on the game would be every merc who usually plays instant battles quein up for faction warfare instead can you imagine the impact they would have? I was kind of upset with my friends because they would rather just join an instant battle then wait a few minutes for us to jump in a battle and fight for the Caldari it upset me to know faction warfare wasn't setting it self apart. Orbital bombardment is a step in the right direction and a reason I am doing faction warfare and keeping my friend a bit more interested with it but still I feel like they are seeing this as any other instant battle. Please CCP get to work and I know you already have plans to improve faction warfare but here is my feedback on the matter.

FW players Dust side should be able to activate battles themselves on specific planets/ in specific systems and therefore actively aid the EVE pilots in reducing the time needed to PLEX that system for eve pilots as well as the possibility of sabotaging POS stations from the inside during POS bashed or even capture them. This way even should the EVE fleet fail the Dust mercs can continue the mission and possibly even still attain victory for their faction.
Now at this point it may seem very silly for Dusties to start FW contracts themselves and not have any opposition in the match but that is one aspect of the FW thing that I like EVE side, that if the opposition neglects one system or neglects to combat a small group of players in one system they may find that system suddenly vulnerable.
Additionally we as Dust mercs need to receive benefits for being loyal to our faction.
Signing up to FW like in EVE is a must. As mercs you would never be hired on by one of the main FW groups if they were known to be operating both for and against certain factions, leave that **** to public matches and Null sec ****.
When a player or corp signs up to FW they should then have access to the benefits or penalties of being in systems owned or taken by the factions. Reduced cost of certain actions, boosted SP and ISK gains, LP boosts etc, as well as being able to access the LP store.
General suggestions I would make are the following.
Inactive turrets are placed around complexes or POS that dusties can take and use to combat EVE pilots.
POS storming to claim or destroy based on EVE corps orders.
Selection of location battles so we can actually impact the war effort.
Special bonues for both EVE and Dusters for wins.
More in depth info for dusties so they can see which corps are doing the most lifting, which corps and players are winning in LP, kills, etc.
Perhaps even allow FW players to set up planetary infrastructure in system to make enemy attacks on those systems that much more difficult, and give eve players the opportunity to seek out and destroy these structures to reduce those benefits. |

Only reason I don't like having to sign up for FW is because I'd have to leave my corporation some kind of sign up that doesn't effect your corporation or status but allows you to fight for that corporation and engage in FW? |

Yes fair enough but I think you should be forced to fight for only one faction at a time not switch between then at any second because you are unable to show any semblance of loyalty. |

How I feel I hate how you can just fight for Amarr or Minmitar... Should only be able to support allied faction and attack enemy factions a lot of Dusties don't know what the factions stand for they just go woah, cool Minmahhhhtar suit derrrrr. |

Yes but then there is no promotion of loyalty to the faction and all that will happen is random corps jumping side all the time... its already enough of a pain in the ass when you see corp sized squads fight for the amarr one game, and then the minnies that next. |
