Many complaints on this amongst friends. Here's the scene:
Heavy fire fight....bullets flying all over the place, explosions, lots of splash damage covering the area. You go down, you are waiting for the map overview to come up so you can respawn outside of that madness, possibly change your fitting so you can try to pick them off better from a distance or maybe get on some AV to blow up a tank or jeep to help thin things out a bit.
(plink)
You suddenly spring back on your feet with no shields, and just some of your armor intact.
(plink)
You go down again.
Now, to add even more insult to injury, there are posts popping up where people are abusing such an opportunity to rack up credits...be that WP, padding K/D ratio, or maybe it's for the event---whatever the reason, it's getting abused. They are standing around some poor guy, while a red shoots them down, and a blue revives them. Rinse/repeat.
Now, if you want to do this kind of thing with corp mates, that's one thing...friends could be in starter fits. But, when it's some random player that gets caught in this behavior, he/she could be loosing expensive fittings (possible something paid for with AUR even, as in, REAL money spent). That's pretty harsh right there.
Simple solution:
When someone sticks us, give us a popup asking whether we accept the revive or not (X/O). We can wait until things cool off, then get up (and then the medic gets credit), or we can cancel it so we can go back to the deploy screen and respawn. |

Just to clarify, when you are revived you don't use up a fitting. So it's actually In your best interest to get picked up.
However it does count as a "death".
I agree a prompt would be nice to accept the revive. |

Stop your crying, OP. Injectors offer you a chance, not a gaurantee, to get out of a bad spot without losing your suit. That supercedes your concerns about KDR every day of the week.
Your suggestion would kill this peice of equipment, once and for all. |

Meanwhile, (in case you've forgotten about it) consider resorting to POWER SLIDE https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=455934#post455934 It works. Have done it successfully myself on many occasions

The entire idea behind choosing to not be picked up is ridiculous. You are an incapacitated clone on the brink of death, what sense does it make for a critically injured body to refuse resuscitation? You shouldn't have any choice at all. Even being able to bleed out is to counter to logic. Who, in the entire history of the world, has ever been able to commit suicide with their mind?
Again, if your idea were become a reality, the nanite injector dies. |

Again, if your idea were become a reality, the nanite injector dies. The implant in your (ok your character's) head allows you to control some equipment by thought... That's why you can mentally issue a command to terminate your clone...
IRL it is possible to control your heart rate. Or even stop it. If emotions can do it you can do it too... |

You shouldn't be able to nanite someone and then have them remain more or less invulnerable on the ground for 20s before choosing to get up.
So no, this is stupid. Suck it up, KDR tryhards. |

You have the option to kill yourself at any given time (press start and choose "Suicide")... so how is the option to not continue living any different?
