Well, I'm a newcomer to Dust, and so far I've loved the setting and the general team-objective focused gameplay, along the RP elements included in it. I found it easy to play until suddenly I was out of the 'rookie grounds', and now I can barely get a kill per life.
I've played both CoD and BF Bad Company 2 before on the PS3, I'm playing Dust in my PS3 too. The gameplay feels alot like BF's and the whole '****, there is the tank runrunrunrunrunrun' feeling is really familiar to me.
- My fav mode is Skirmish (I believe? I play in spanish... the mode where you hack a set of bateries to destroy the other team's ship), but every game I've played so far, it is imposible to either capture or defend a point if a heavy with their minigun is present in the area. I believe that heavies are OP in the way they get the biggest and most powerful guns, enough shields to take on a squad, and their movility problems are not really a problem since they can easily drive their cars to where they're needed.
- At some point in the fight, the other team already haves all the points and every try to take any is usually stopped by an heavy. What can I do? I always end up taking the sniper set and trying to not end up negative.
- Heavies can't be sniped, the three bullets from the tac sniper to the head does not even deplete their shields.
- I was running around with anti vehicle grenades, I stumble into a hostile tank and I throw my 3 grenades... they barely dented its shields and he shot me dead. I checked and the rocket launcher does the same damage. How the hell I am I supposed to fight it?
I'd like to know what to do in such moments and tips to kill something in my 3 minutes of survival during each life. Thanks to everyone who gives advise.

Ok thanks guys, I took my sweet time reading all of the guides in that link over there and sucking in tactics.
My first fault I've found is the fact I tend to run foward when facing an enemy, never realised it usually made me a bigger target. I found good in that I already know the flaking techniques and stuff, specially how to move in the battlefield and not get killed.
Also, some games later made me realise that the team I played that time with just camped around the spawn, trying to get kills, meanwhile olny me pushed for the objective.
I'd like to ask, there is some way you can reset your points? Because I already put most of them just in the SR sector and I feel change of heart respect to them.
There is a way I can comunicate without a mic? Because I lack one. |
