Why?
Because of the ISK investment? You can't balance with ISK. Just because you or I spend a couple of mill on our tanks doesn't mean we suddenly deserve to outclass a capable and tactically sound opponent.
In the hypothetical world were a tank were to stand in front of a guy with a proto forge, they should have an equal chance of destroying each other.
Good tankers will survive, bad ones will go broke or find sugar daddies. |

I switched to tanking full time after uprising came out.
I never had the luxury of a Sagaris to pad my ego.
I never had the pleasure of a Surya to pubstomp in.
I don't care if people hate me. I will gladly be despised by the scrub tankers who sit around crying for the OP days past, when they could rely on an OP tank and 5 buddies to keep them safe as they pubstomp ambush.
I play Skirmish, mostly solo, in a tank every match. I get popped, I call in another. I don't rest on my laurels, I don't sit in the redline, I play hard and aggressive and I try not to make mistakes that will cost me my very expensive tank.
Yes, you have skill, yes you seem to be a good tanker. That doesn't change the fact that what you guys want is to be the dominant force on the field, which is just silly.

No, the difference is that I didn't get used to tanking when they were OP, so my judgements are fresh.
