I ripped a few drivers and gunners out from LAVs in Blaster Turret installations when just going spray-and-pray on the vehicle.
It should be possible, but not that regular.

its a lag issue pure and simple. try my test if unsure. have an enemy shoot the back of your lav with a blaster turret while not moving, the vehicle should only take damage. Now try to drive away while the turret is shooting the back of the lav and watch how fast you die. i guess this dev is confirming that dust 514 is meant to be laggy. Also you can do this with any weapon not just blaster turrets, but blaster turrets are affecting drivers/passengers in a more drastic way because of its aoe damage hitting the back of the lav while the player hitbox lagging behind the vehicle.
think of it like this: your body is strung to a bungee cord that is attached to your seat, when you move the lav your body falls behind a bit till the cord becomes taught. Now your body is being dragged behind the lav rather than being in the seat till the vehicle stops and that cord snaps your body back into place.

I have also made a post about this issue https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=94645&find=unread

It is a pain to drive up to an installation and try to hack it for it to aimbot to your LAV and kill you in one hit. On tanks however as well as manned turrets I like this GÇ£bugGÇ¥ as it finally makes it possible to take down the Charybdis.

I can confirm this bug. I've been shot out by blasters, large and small. As soon as a blaster starts shooting at your LAV, you can only hope to get out of its effective range before your dropsuit gets killed.

Now consider that your head has a 195% damage bonus. That is how Snipers can OHK most Mercs. Look at the splash damage for most turrets and you, sir, are going to die if they splash your head.

You meant to say that a sniper aimed at someones head has a 195% dmg efficacy. Not a 195% damage bonus. If it applied a 195% damage bonus, you would be doing close to triple damage from a sniper headshot which is incorrect.

Also, this damage multiplier of 195% is not a head bonus, but is particular to the sniper rifle weapon. For example, a scrambler headshot has a 450% damage multiplier/efficacy.

blasters have splash damage I drive a logi Lav and honestly I like this mechanic.anything to stop people from driving around in jeeps abusing the purpose... although when you name the starter jeep "Impact" it begs to question what the purpose was.

LOL, I know a good few people who always thought that "Impact" was the type of death caused by the vehicle, haha.
