I have trouble digesting how 16 vs 16 is massive. The hinging factor would have to be the cross platform chat I suppose, but really at the moment it Dust is just a lobby shooter with a very long grind. Might it be MMO at some point sure, but right now it's hard a sell.

In the end it depends if you are winning/moving towards a win by driving around. If so, good. The AR people are basically just repeating a superstition if they just chant 'AR!' instead of asking whether it helps win a match.

Then again, many people use MMO as an excuse to forget about winning. In which case it's just chant Vs chant.

DUST is NOT an MMO. It is connected to and affects an MMO. If it were an MMO we would be able to walk through that door and affect the virtual world in other ways and take part in that constant world.

DUST characters simply join and leave matches.

This game will never be an MLG game cause its pure trash. LAVs arent an issue so much as its their ability to kill everything and anything wo being able to be destroyed in return. Logi LAV make mockery of proto AV and turrets without fail but yes by all means lets focus in on how the game is a rock, paper, scissors game then ignore the fact the counters for LAV dont work.

This game is a FPS with fail MMO/RPG elements its why its terribru. But don't worry the FPS players are pretty much fed up. The "Great War" has all but ensured the rest of the FPS players who want a fun compettive game will leave because of all the cheesy explosive spam and clown cars. Once gone you can make this game all the MMO you want here a sample of the upcoming iterations and patch notes.

Dust is not a mmo...might be one day but for now it's just a fps with persistent skill system

Okay,,,,,,,,,,, buddy............... Dust 514 right now it is not a MMO or a FPS because not even the core mechanics work well........ but whatever makes you happy........

This game has lofty dreams for a PS3 game and I've been wondering a lot lately on just if the PS3 even has the ability to do what CCP wants it to do

I put CCP on blast for their horrible management of this game all the time, you're preaching to the choir.

I'm saying the limits of the PS3 are in addition to, not separate from CCPs lackluster approach to building DUST.

That said, it has been slowly improving around here, so as usual, we'll just have to wait and see.
