I should get 'gud' and join the growing hordes of flaylock users ftw. I look forward to flaylock-514. Off to bed. kthxbye. Here's what I've tried and its been working pretty well. When I see a raspberry coming up on me looking like he's packin' a flaylock, depending on the terrain, I will try to put some distance and or a corner between me and three explosive rounds of death to my soul. Then, I look and listen while I'm setting up my counter strike. Boom, boom, boom! Time to attack!
You wait until the enemy finishes shooting at you until you attack back? |

Yeah, everyone take this guys advice. Sounds great to me. Yup, it is good advice because they only have 3 shots. Hell, you don't even need to wait until he's through his 3 shots, 1-2 are enough because he won't be able to finish you off (unless you're **** fit) with only 1-2 shots unless you stand completely still like a deer in headlights. Taking cover and to keep moving helps in general. Of course that would require you to do more than just "spray and pray"...for some that takes too much thinking
Assuming that you're in a situation where falling back and gaining a fair amount of distance is a viable option. Then assuming that the player is dumb enough to fall into the trap of having to use the flaylock at a distance unsuitable for it. While also assuming that the player will take pot shots with a weapon that only has a few shots before reloading.
Overall, just assuming that the player is bad.
If it were me, and it isn't, hell I haven't played in a couple of weeks now, but if I were using the flaylock pistol I wouldn't put myself in a position where I had to perform out of its effective range, without cover anywhere nearby, and after having chased an enemy. Nope, I would let you run away and keep an eye on the area that is important; objectives and the immediate area around them, which are usually very friendly towards explosive/closer ranged weapons. The longer you stay behind cover waiting for me to waste shots, which won't happen, the better because the objective is doing damage over time.
& isn't the flaylock pistol a sidearm? So the player could also whip out a primary that actually does have the range to compete with what you have?
& lol at people who can't do anything more than spray and pray. |
