I touched on this on a post I made about loltruce about using flaylock + fuded nades, but I didn't want to make a TL;DR in a reply.
I don't know why some of you people play this game, but I play to get some good matches in. Win or lose a good fight is a good fight, you say your "GG's" and talk strats over with your mates, say what went wrong, what went right, and on to the next match.
Back in Chromosome there were good fights, mainly cuz the balance of the game was decent (infantry wise). AR's meant something, shotguns did work, HMG's had a purpose. Well not anymore.
DUST has turned into a FoTM (flavor of the month) game. I can't believe I miss the days of lolTactDuvolle. At least that requires a minimum lvl of "skill" to use. The dot actually has to be on someone to hit. The state of DUST now?
- HMG's are useless in PC. Flaylock > HMG
- Flaylock spam > AR's
- Tact Duvolle? lol... just use a god mode LAV to close the distance on people and jump and flaylock them... or why jump out?
- Scout shotgun? lol... 1 contact nade or a couple flaylock shots
Some classes and roles have become completely and utterly useless. I was looking forward to going toe to toe with the game's best Heavy HMG users, but no, I get flaylocked before I can even say "WTF was that?". I even heard reports of heavies using double flaylocks??!!!! WHAT A JOKE!
I was looking fwd to going up against the game's "top corps" for good fights, but no, it's about explosion spam. There's no more good fights and the feeling when you're walking away saying "yea that was a good game"... NO!
There's no more "GG"s. There's only good players spamming **** for the W. I can't say how much respect I've lost for people I thought were good. Skill to kill no longer exist in this joke of a game. When you have a thread being made to attempt to control the situation, you know something is wrong!
You can't tell people to not use OP ****! Is that a joke? That's what people do! The only people who don't jump on board the FoTM train, are people that actually want to challenge themselves and say "that was a GG.".
As of now, these "top corps" that use flaylock + fused nade spam as their main strat, got no respect from me. You're a joke, and you're making a game that was somewhat decent and fun to play at a competitive lvl (corp matches) a joke also. I've never heard of such an unbalance, unskilled mechanic being abused by so many people.
I played the crap out of BF3, and even the cheapest, most noob **** you see in pubs, don't make it into clan matches. You're saying that these people have more "integrity" than the people in this game? 
And CCP, I don't know how such a glaring imbalance in your game has been going on for so long! Since Uprising landed people had their suspicion about flaylocks being OP, and SINCE BEFORE CHROMOSOME people said contact nades are **** now look at what you game is now!
Your "competitive" scene, the PC matches, is filled with nothing but flaylocks + conatact nades.
If this **** continues, I will not be in the upcoming tournament. my corp wants to participate, but I for one will not be there. I will not be supporting CCP in anything they do. I will not be buying AUR for boosters, nothing. I can't support a dev company who's too blind to see what a joke their game is becoming. |

USAS frags were not used in clan matches, and then the FAMAS followed.
