Cat Merc DUST University Ivy League 3053	Posted - 2013.07.13 17:37:00 - [1] - Quote I just met 8 scouts with shotguns and core flaylocks all chasing me. It wasn't a long distance engagement where they closed in on me, nope, it was a complex and I met them around a corner. I have no clue how I survived, at one point I had 1hp left, but through a miracle I did. My pants didn't survive however, and are now in the washing machine.

One of the reds got a bit cocky and kept trying to get us so after about 5 or 6 attemots we started group tea bagging him and another random red came round the corner and spotted all 6 of us dib dabing this poor sod, so the guy that spotted us froze on the spot and after about 2 seconds we all pounsed on him. I still laugh when I think about what he saw comming round the corner and what he must have been thinking .

Huge, earlier this nutjob of a Sentinel ran at me waaaaaaay faster then any sentinel has rights to, and nova-knifed my friend to death despite us being literally unable to miss on full-automatic. I'm assuming he was tweaked out on skills and catalysts... Thing went down really fast though, like anti-lag.

Well, after I found them around the corner I throw down a grenade so I would have time to think while they wait for it to explode. At that time I was moving backwards with my gun pointed at that corner in case someone becomes brave and jumps over the grenade before it explodes. I thrown another one to give me more time. I found a piece of cover and stuck to it, as I knew that I am slow as ** from plates, so assuming they don't have kin cats which I doubt they don't have, they have a 1.5m/s speed advantage on me, so I can't run. They came out of that way once the second grenade exploded, and I shot two down, they were running towards me so they were easy targets. The others were strafing and going from cover to cover. Those were harder. And then I heard the sound of the flaylock, and then I saw half my HP dropped, someone was shooting at the corner of my cover. So I ran out into the open after I thrown my last grenade, and after it exploded I was shooting while moving backwards. One managed to get another shot off at me before I found a small hill in the open where I could take cover, that's when my HP dropped to 1. I let my two complex reps bring my to 100 while keeping an eye on the scouts. Once I got to 100 I jumped out of cover and shot them down as they were trying to close the distance. Then only a shotgunner was left, we had a little dual, and then I noticed he used up all his shotgun ammo in the clip so he started running for me for the melee.... It was a minmatar scout >.< Luckily he missed the first melee, giving me a clear shot on him. And then when he tried the second melee, he hit me, and I hit him back killing him. This was pure luck, trust me.

Scouts are fine, Medium frames are too good. Medium frames are the all around suit. Heavy and Light suits are specialized, designed for specific jobs. The heavy suit starts with 1000 base eHP (!) in comparison to medium frames 412. And gives up around 1.5m/s of speed, which is nothing tbh, if you know what you're doing you can only gain from using a heavy suit. Light suits are supposed to be the speedy bastards that are hard to hit, but the speed difference is tiny and the hitbox increases the faster you are. A sprinting scout has the hitbox of a standing heavy. The medium frame suit is fine, remember, if you nerf the suits, you buff all the weapons, and I think the suit vs weapon relation is good as is.
