Ok, so for an advanced merc it sure is hard to find cover apparently, I've been shot from around corners, ALOT. I MEAN, IF I CAN'T SEE THEM, THEY SHOUULDNT BE ABLE TO SEE ME. Right? I get that a heavy has a larger hit box, but no one should be able to curve bullets, is this a problem w hit detection, the terrain and buildings, or do some ppl just get to shoot through ****. It's kind of ridiculous that when you should be in cover, your actually sticking out like a sore thumb. |

Supposedly a scouts hit box increases bigger than a heavy suit the the faster we run, pretty awesome programming eh |

And I'm not even talking about just the heavy, I've been shot in the head straight through a supply depot, before anyone asks, yes I'm sure, it was a one on one oms, and I was directly behind cover, I know this game is a massive undertaking, but cover can't be something overlooked in a SHOOTER! Though certain weapons actually should be able to penetrate walls. But that's for future fights to be complained about by someone other than I. |

It's possible that latency is the issue. Basically they shot you before you got around the corner and lag make it appear as if shots are coming through solid objects.
It could also be that it only looks as if you're around the corner because of the FP view point, when you're actually stick out enough to be hit.
Also with the range increase it's possible that you're being attacked from a distance which is angled around the corner. |

Pretty sure its due to lag, I have a much easier time hitting running heavies than running scouts even though people have been saying all classes hitboxes increase while we sprint |

You yourself can't see it but you were probably rubberbanding. You were behind cover on your screen but your actual character model was not yet in cover. This isn't anything to do with CCP its due to your internet connection or dependant if you are connection to a EU or North American server.
Hope this helps.

Somebody actually makes sense in the running debacle about hit boxes. The DUST client/server protocol is slow by FPS standards and it is fine for EVE. For DUST it causes several problems and some appear worse since Uprising. The biggest change I had to make in Uprising was getting behind cover quick.
Now, there are two big reasons for the appearance of being shot around a corner without it actually happening. One is the UI update is very, very slow compared to the actual damage. There have been several posts requesting that the graphic be faster or changed to the actual damage is known versus it slowly comes down with the very, very pretty UI that is the prettiest damage indicator in all the land. But it is too blasted slow.
The other is the aforementioned lag. Your client sees you move behind a corner while rounds are already on their way. Which is cool. Except the server is resolving those potential hits on your behind. Now your client has you behind the corner but the server delivers the rounds that actually did hit you Before you got back out of sight.
Result: You're dead and angry too.
Solution: As soon as you start taking hits Move! Do not wait for a second, that one second's worth of rounds will shred your clone.
Good Luck.

Server Lag?
Your Client Probably thinks your Here, but the server thinks your here.
Remember those issues with your enemies hitbox being ahead of their Model?
Well, maybe its now just flipped to be behind the model for some people. |
