I ran a couple of simulations with this suit and so far this dropsuit is only useful in it's initial encounter (STD Commando is useless btw). After losing all shields the suit becomes an expendable asset due to its shield regen of 10hp/s. The only way to make this a "little" more durable is to put on a armor plate and have a mix of these: (1) a friendly with a rep tool, (2) sacrifice space for a Complex Shield Recharger/Energizer, and (3) sacrifice space for a Allotek Nanohive (R). Keep in mind that nobody will be using a rep tool frequently in PC matches so option (1) is pub match only. Option (3) is the only thing that will keep you alive a "little longer" in the next difficult encounter in PC, after loosing shields, but not enough. To not add a plate is to forfeit the asset because 312 armor left (assuming you received rep) with around 40-70 shields regenerated from a encounter makes it too easy for most players to finish him off. I get the idea that I have to sacrifice something for extra firepower but this suit simply has no survivalbility and is only useful at a distance, oh and let's not forget the big hitbox on the suit.
My recommendation to fix the suit is to simply raise the shield regen to at least 17hp/s. This tweak will make the suit significantly better, the truth is we don't have use for a dropsuit that entirely lacks survivalbility (smart players want save ISK and stay alive to defend/attack objectives).

you should be running the commando in a well shielded or armored LAV or LLAV whatever light weapon you prefer assault, sniper, specialty. and an advanced or proto swarm, stay on the outside objectives taking out LAV's, dropships, & tanks and holding that outside objective all by yourself like a commando |

I myself have trial ran the Commando (adv) 1low 1 high and found out through running various combinations of weapon pairing that the ar/sr with a swarm launcher is a nice fit,,the ar/sr with a md is also a nice combo to bring into a fight. It could use a buff though as far as having a second high slot and having more cpu/pg room to fit the higher lvl weapons together. The suit is discribed as having advanced cpu/pg,,but tbh its not enough room to install your best fit. Shield recharging DOES NEED BUFFED,considering the 1 high slot. Having the eqp slot is a great idea, using either a nanohive or the armor rep,,but this will lead back to needing more cpu/pg as alot of gamers in the dust populace utilize proto hives/rep tools. The Commando would sqd^ nice with a fatty, think about it lol |

You are sad, talentless and weak. Video games are supposed to be a fiar, challenging competition. It's not actual life or death you dramaqueen. video games and war are two completely different subjects and you look like a douche for actually saying they are anything alike. There are so many soldiers from ww2, vietnam, and the middle east that woul3ld slap the **** out of you right now. Video games are nothing like war. Grow up. This is a video game and anyone who relies on the core flaylocks has poor sportsmanship - plain and simple. |

Running flaylocks on a Commando defeats the purpose of two light weapons. Would make much more sense to run dual flaylocks on Assault or Scout Suit. I can get my Dren Assault Suit up to virtually the same eHP as my lvl 1 commando, for about the same isk cost... and the Dren assault has a grenade slot and moves faster, with better shield regen and shorter depleted delay. So if I want to run dual flaylocks its going to be on the assault, or scout that can move/jump higher. The Flaylock becomes OP when the user combines it with jumping and shooting at the feet, in most cases. That is not the case with a slower, fatter suit that has a 6" vertical.
Ive only run the lvl 1 commando, so dont have much to go on. It feels alright, but is definetely missing something... could be grenades, slightly more CPU/PG, 1 more slot, more base shield/armor hp.... any one of those, or combination of a few of those points would bring the suit up to something worth running. Pubs is fine, but at some point PC will be back in full swing and the suit should have some viable use there, correct? |

I've got Commando suit lvl 3 and planning to go proto.
the commando need a few thing to make it viable but not OP.
1) faster shield regen (thx Alldin) 2) A little more CPU/PG. The right value is between full proto Module-Weap and the way it is now. 3) a few less slot. 1 low for sure, 1 high should be great. 4) tune up the Amarr racial from 2% to 5% |

I have two commando fits
Advanced Commando Basic Light Damage Modifier Basic Reactive Plates Advanced Assault Scrambler Rifle Laser Rifle Repair Tool
and
Advanced Commando Basic Light Damage Modifier Basic Reactive Plates Advanced charge Scrambler Rifle Swarm Launcher Nanohive
I run the first one the majority of the time. I tend to hang in the back of a group of teammates or defend an objective with my laser rifle out essentially the whole time. Staying towards the back, if anyone gets low on armor and starts to retreat I am there to repair him (it's quite amusing seeing a heavy repair another heavy). If someone charges past my laser rifle I have the assault scrambler rifle waiting. Also if the enemy outer defenses have been breached I will switch to the assault scrambler rifle and charge in with my team. Only use the second fit if I see a vehicle.
Works great. On average per match (skirmish) I say I get 5-8 kills with the laser rifle, 2-4 kills with the ASR, a handful of assists, and 0-3 deaths at 40k a pop. Gone as far as 18-0 and during a contested match, but probably more as a result of the enemy. |

They either need a higher shield recharge than assaults, or more health to start with. In either case, they also need an extra high & low slot.

Unfortunately the time it takes to get all shields back is longer than the Sentinel and in heated battles it is important that I get back to the fight as quickly as I can (pretty much why I see so many Caldari users in PC ). |

first off commando's are not true heavies please re class these monstrosities. I am a true heavy and do not recognize you as my kin. To make this suit better, it needs 1 more high and 1 more low slot. This might make this suit better. This suit is based on a great idea but was nerfed before it had the chance. |

Rather than an HP buff, I'd rather see Commando get the full Heavy slot count.
3 Hi/2Low Proto can make up for the HP, or go full damage and be a glass cannon.
No matter how they buff it though, the price needs to come down to the same as Sentinel. It's just stupid the way it is. |

EDIT: If necessary, buff the HP of Shields/Armor to 280. CCP introduced this suit in a video at E3 as a way to promote versatility. They used a heavy suit as a sniper. Basically like you said,
