I played last night.. for the first time in 3 months.. was hoping the last patch had fixed things.. but what a let down.
so heres my list of things, from just one evening that have turned me off, to the point I wont play again til the next big patch.. or maybe the one after that.
first.. I cant add contacts via my psn list, which means you have to type in their id and search, but if they are in a squad it wont send the invite.. so you have to message them via psn, please leave your squad.. then re try.. most of the time tis just a squad auto formed when they joined their ready room.. last night it took 30 minutes for3 gaming veterans to work out how to get into a squad.. and even then the comms didnt work. in game or out.
why did you ot just allow us to invite a psn friend? all other games work like this.. "invite friend" of the invite goes as a psn message and in they accept and hey presto their in your squad.. so simple.
I wont play without chat, and this game has the worst chat set up imaginable, we didnt manage to get any conversation last night, resorting to text to define targets.. useless.. we went through the options, turned push to chat off, on off again, tried everything.. the only person who could be heard was me, they couldnt hear each other and I couldnt hear them...
game balance..  non existant.. I mean totally non existant.
how hard can this be.. really? I mean FFS!! last night we either got lucky and jumped in with a team of protowearing vets who killed everything for us, or we were spawn raped by protowearing vets who were impossible to kill.. no pay to win? thats a laugh, every time I died last night it was a bought weapon, a bought suit a bought vehicle... not once did we have a balanced game, not one..
damage.. why, did you make it take so much damage to kill anything? its just awful, we have to fire continuously for 3 ,4, 5, maybe 8 seconds in some cases! and still its not enough sometimes... its all wrong.. its broken..
I have to say I had high hopes for this game, but its just been a total let down.. I really hope you fix it, because until you do there wont be a growing fan base, its dying on its feet, it needs changing.. and radically in some respects.. BF4 comes out in a few months time , then shaddow fall.. or KZ4. if you really expect players to play this instead, then its got to be some major improvements it really has, because a tripple xp lure isnt enough to make me play for more than one night.
I know the fan boys will poo poo this thread, I dont care much, I dont want a discussion.. I just want a better gaming experience with comms, easier squading up tools and better game play. til then I'm out of here. |

im not gonna poo poo your thread... but you are misguided.
yes this game has issues and needs some balancing...
but pay to win bought gear and vehicles? I garuntee most of that stuff was bought with ingame currency that required tons of sp to use and you, after being gone for so long and not taking the time and patience to skill into it have no business being angry about being stomped by it.
let me break out my caps for one second......

this is not your traditional FPS by any measure
I blame CCP for not communicating this more clearly to its community, and unless you come from EVE you have no idea what to expect.
in this way CCP is a bunch of idiots imo because outside of their EVE player base they don't know how to appeal to an audience effectively and these hundereds and hundereds of forums pages are a testament to that.
at the same time CCP are evil geniuses because of their success with EVE so I believe DUST 514 will eventualy find the same type of success, but it wont be with people like you unfortuneately as long as youre expecting something traditional and in a quick time frame.... |

you miss understand me.. Ive played this game since the open beta.. I took a break and came back, I know about the skills etc ,I have over 4 million skill points I think. maybe 5. cant remember off hand, not loads, but enough to unlock shields and repair on my suit and the assault weapons, but Im not a noob, and Ive unlocked lots of lovely kit, but it wont stand up against Aur bought gear.
last night was my first venture back after a few months off, I came back because I was told the last patch had cured some of the ills. sadly no.
I dont need another battlefield, and I dont play CoD.. I dont want a Killzone3 clone.. I wanted something different.. but this game is awful as it is, and as such it cant compete. |

humm..... 'puts glasses on' doesn't know how to do chat, wants to kill people in half a second, doesn't know that AUR gear is the exact same as ISK gear other than prereq's, claims that everybody will go straight to PS4 and leave PS3, and all their games...... hummm............... 'takes off glasses' Read this.

what a happy troll you must be.
look, all Im saying is, the numbers of players are falling, the game needs fixing, it dosent work, there is no player balance, the guns are underpowered, last night chat wouldnt work.. and over all ti has about as much atmosphere as the moon.. you can blame me and say Im not playing it right all you like, Ill blame the developers for making a shoddy game.
its a shame no one agrees with me here, but hey, if you like the game as it is, fair do's, go play.. someone must have been the target audience.
Ill go back to battlefield or killzone or borderlands, or anywhere else I can get a balanced interesting game. |

again I will say it... there is no quick fix... this game will take years to get to where its going because its going somewhere completely new... that's why it feels so chopped up... CCP needs our feedback our patients and our loyalty... but it doesn't need people like you who think 4 or 5 mil sp and a year in and out of beta is grounds for this type of dissatisfaction |
