Allow Carrier Pilots in eve to purchase/deploy "Planetary Bombers" and then allow people in dust to call in an air strike to those Pilots who would then give the coordinates to their bombers in a similar manner as orbital bombardment, except it would have the bombers carpet bomb a section of the map. This would make capital ships more prevelant in Factional Warefare and therefore really amp up the feel of everything in dust. |

Sounds pretty cool. I also wanna see an Ion Cannon. Just have the Capsuleer click around on the Dust map and drag their death beam around the map. |

Only supercarriers can use fighter-bombers. That's just a technicality though, we'd want regular carriers in on the fun and able to do it with regular fighters. |

Of Course, and it would give a greater interlinking between the two games and more variety to the kinds of support you guys can recieve from Eve.
However, let me tell you this, I am NOT brining out my carrier to carpet bomb if they keep this WP system for mercenary/corp matches (the ones players in eve can interact in). I am not about to Twiddle my thumbs in a 3 billion isk ($120) ship in low sec in orbit over a planet that is broadcasting a giant beacon to everyone in system that I am there and hope the groundside troops can get enough WP to use me and then choose to do so all before a bunch of PL/Goonswarm Jerks come in and go "That's a ncie carrier ya got there." Multiple problems with that, everything form the fact of I am being used rather than participating activly, to its a $120 ship I am risking and there is a fair chance I won't get to do anything..... but that is a whole seperate forum topic (look it up "Remove WP Req. Why not just let Carrier pilots send their Fighter drones down via the Drone interface already in the game? |
