I like the idea of paying a significant amount of ISK in order to remove a single point in a skill. As it stands now, Dusters who consistently play and don't run up a bill in the millions doing public games are sitting on a ton of money which is going to inflate the economy to ridiculous levels if something isn't done to give them a subjective value. The most valuable resource that we all hold are SPs. Gear is easy to get, once you have the SP.
When I say significant, I'm talking 10 million or so. It has to be high enough to retain an objective worth for SPs. I'd suggest higher but I feel going any higher would result in diminishing returns. Ten million might seem a lot but it's raining isk in New Eden for Dusters, unless you are simply doing it wrong, and it has to be something you shouldn't *want* to do but have to do in order to adapt.
I feel that this would add and enhance current tactics and strategies in fighting battles, as corps could help fund their mercs in order to adapt to changing warfare. The potential economic benefits shouldn't be discounted, not to mention the possible player driven loan-business it could open up; First National New Eden Republic Bank at your service! |

I don't think they're ignoring players; it's just not a topic that honestly needs addressing right now. They just gave everyone a 3x SP week to take advantage of and you didn't even have to hack x100 things or kill x100 mercs. It was free SP just for being around. |

Eh. I wouldn't see anything wrong with that honestly; as the boosters stand now, it's kind of an illusion as to how much of an edge they give an individual. On the surface, they clearly are rewarding you with a fair amount of SP that can accumulate quickly over time if you utilize them frequently. However, the returns are going to diminish because there are a finite amount of skills available and the upgrades that are available through those skills, between advanced and proto, are not so significant that they are going to make a game changing experience. I've taken out Protos just fine with my advanced gear.
It might matter more in PC, however, when there is much 'more' on the line and even a small edge is going to help you win, especially if those players are high-caliber players which is going to be a relatively small portion of the games player base.
This is where I think they are severely hampering their ability to become a viable E-sports, since real life currency can be a deciding factor in upper tier matches

6month cooldown upon their use though. Can't have tryhards spamming them on FOTMs.
Nothing at all, in practice.
However, game quality is important and CCP, I believe, is going to push for the inclusion of Dust 514/Eve into E-sports and this could cause some issues on its viability of being a solid E-sports game.
Dust is going to effect the world of Eve, which means players could use real life money to not only impact Dust but it would also potentially impact Eve, too. The effects there are potentially numerous.
It gives a potential unfair 'advantage' over others who may not be able to afford such a potent mechanic.
Most players don't like it.
