I invested in Minmatar logi suits fully, and read that logi suits get +1HP/s armour repair per rank, and minmatar logis get -5% to hacking speed per rank. I then Read that Gallante gets +1HP/s Armour repair to logi suits, and -5% PG/CPU usage of equipment per rank. Instead of investing in Armour (which I now feel silly about) I went into Gallante Logis cause surely that would mean I would get even more a armour repair per second more my minmatar suits, because its was a Logi suit, and the Gallente logi skill states logi suits, while another perk state more specifically Gallante Logi, so surely I the forst perk that states just logi suits should pass over to any logi suit.
But... it doesn't pass over...
Instead of the Gallante suit getting +6HP/s repair and the Minmatar suit getting +6HP/s, the Minmatar suit got +5HP/s and the Gallante got +1HP/s.
So is this a feature (which if it is, thats extremely misleading almost to the point that its a lie), or is it just a bug?

It is incredibly misleading text. Working as intended. |

As much a you might say "Learn about the game before making stupid decisions", do I need to REALLY need to look into the fact they are different races before thinking too far into something like that.
My issue is that they wrote that so badly that it passes the barrier from misleading to downright lieing. I'm also pretty pissed that I wasted SP that could of been used on Armour tank logi with regenerating health |

When donning a Minmatar logistics suit you get the Minmatar bonus and the logistics bonus. When you don a Gallente logi suit you get the Gallente bonus and the logi bonus. Just like it says.

Alright. When you put it that way it does make sense. The way I read it was that when you upgrade a Logi and two Values get raised, one value goes into a pool for Logis, and one for the race. So Race1 Logi suit has values raised from Logi pool, and Race1 pool, but not Race2 pool. Race2 Logi suit has values raised from race2 pool and logi pool but not Race1 pool.
Ah well. What's done is done, but I cannot stress enough how badly its written as it heavily implies that when you upgrade the skill it raises two pools of values. |

I agree - you see similar wording in the various high-level vehicle command skills.
They really need to start these skill description with phrasing like "When using Amarr Logistics dropsuits...." and "For Galente Logistics LAVs..." |

The suit and vehicle specific bonuses should be on the different suits and vehicles not listed on the skills. Like for the gal logi, the suit description should list the bonuses per lvl of whatever skill it needs. Not the skill itself, I think that would reduce some of the confusion. |

I believe that the wording could be better but the intent appears to be that the Specific Suit gets the specific attributes mentioned. Unless I misunderstood the OPs position, which is possible and maybe even probably. This could be standard EVE biased understandings. Many features in DUST are EVE based, even the icons for the various modules. For those that don't have EVE friends explaining how it works over there some of this could definitely use more explanations. Or clearer ones.
For your information: I am Gallente but run Minmatar Logi ADV most often. I am only expecting the Minmatar Logi benefits and that is what I am seeing. With some additional skill into Hacking and a Hacking module from time to time hacking a Letter Objective is really quick. I do see more than 5HP/s but only because of Armor Repair Module as I have yet to skill to Proto levels. So a lvl 3 Suit will have 3HP/s and an Enhanced Armor Rep total to 6.45HP/s (? not online).

Oh btw, when I said tank logi, I meant turning my logi suit into a heavy, as in having so much armor the dropsuit is a tank. Just thought I would clarify that, re-reading what I wrote I must of been drunk or tired. |

I petitioned about this a while ago ... apparently it's working as intended.
The skills bonuses therefore are misleading. A "logistics suit bonus" should apply to logistics suits ... the clue is in the title of the next one ... a "gallente logistics suit bonus" would only apply to gallente logistics suits.
If they wanted both bonuses to only apply to that racial suit why did they not write ... "gallente logistics suit bonus - 1hp/s to armor repair per level AND [whatever] % reduction to fitting of equipment"
As mentioned above these bonuses would be far better in the description of the items, not the skills ... like they are in Eve ... then you could put in different bonuses for different side grades of the gallente logistics suits, so one set could have bonus to armor repair per level of gallente logistics skill AND bonus to equipment per level of gallente medium frame skill.
You could then have a sidegrade of gallente logistics suits that get an armor speed penalty reduction from the medium frame skill and a repair tool bonus from the logistics skill.
Endless possibilities of suit variations without messing about with the skill tree. Skills should unlock stuff ... stuff should recieve bonuses from skills ... they're overcomplicating things by blurring that too much ... it's also damn difficult to figure what you're getting when you look at an item and have to go into the skills to find out what bonuses it gets. |

i don't understand your confusion. you thought that a power grid and cpu reduction on equipment would help your logi suit repair more? |

No, I thought that raising the skill would raise two pools of values, and if I use a suit that maybe doesn't use one pool, it would be affected by the other pool. I explained it earlier, read the thread. My previous posts didn't make all that sense though, so I have just written it badly. |
