As not only is all the land taken. But by groups of alliances that have collected Gross amounts of Isk from the flawed system in PC they have taken full advantage of.
Reducing the price of the pack might make it cheaper and easyer for smaller corps to get in if they could. Mega alliances dominate most of molden heath now. And the draft of the planets wasent even fair to begin with.
And only a few corps are benifiting greatley but you know which ones are..
I think the only way to make PC fair is to make the funds you earn from it impossible to leave the corp wallet. And the system of molden heath gets a Hard Reset with and actual draft this time instead of it being under 4 min.
If this isent fair to all the people who (are still in PC) have been raking in mad amounts of isk on a flawed system when your already in a better position than 95% of the other players because of your alliances what would would be?
I assume they would do anything and say anything too keep a hard reset from heppening, But i beleave thats the only true fair way to start PC. Not make it cheaper for people who barley have a chance going up against well funded empires with cash and clones to spare.

New Eden is not fair. There will be no reset. A draft would only have slowed the current map formation by 3 days or so. Having the current big alliance groups gives new alliances and smaller corps something to shoot at and feel accomplished when they get to take down a big corp and take all their districts.
Money is meaningless. It is only the power of your players that matter. Lowering the costs only allow the smaller corps (and maybe better players) the ability to cut into the big alliance color swatches. |

If you look at the "mega alliances" and "top corps" who are still in PC, you will notice that the majority of us are getting rid of districts in order to alleviate the requirement to constantly defend all of said districts, and end up burning out. EON and other alliances/corps with large amounts of property in PC are selling off districts to corps who want in. When you buy a district from EON, were not going to just attack you and take it back, that wouldn't bring any profitable economic value, or any real fun back into PC as corps would just stop buying. The changes to PC IMO are going to make it more enjoyable for everyone as a whole because you won't be able to just burn through a smaller corps clone reserves super quickly and flip the district if you lose the first attack. There will always be someone out there with more SP/Money/Man power than someone else, its something we all have to deal with.
As to your argument for a hard reset on land ownership: If this were to happen, do you not think that these "mega alliances" have the money in their corp wallet already to simply keep attacking at the lower cost for clone packs and take back just as much as they currently have?
If they reset the corp wallets of all corps, how many players haves $300million+ in their personal wallets that wouldn't be hard pressed to donate 2/3 of that to the corp in order to get right back into PC? Case in point, at the new clone pack value of 30 mill, I can personally throw 5 clone packs out for attacks and still have cash left over to field all the proto gear I want, and running basic or adv gear in pubs just makes money come in that much faster. I have one if the smallest personal wallets in my corp, so really what effect would a hard reset on land or corp wallet have?
Just a few things to think about before you rage about how unfair PC is. We're all trying to make it better. Hold tight, calm down. Its no fun for us to keep fighting the same people over and over either. |

meh
I see no problem. The mega corps are getting smaller and the smaller corps are getting smaller.
I can see no real way for the issues you bring up being fixed without a larger player base.
One thing that could happen is the mega corps will eventually grow to small to protect everything they got. You mention they have piles of ISK....but if they don't have the players that ISK is pretty worthless.
Think of it like this As Dust's player base shrinks that means relatively the number of districts grow....every day is like a little expansion of Molten heath. |

Well whats the point of large alliances? To ruin the game for everyone else? Why should they just be allowed to have the best parts of the game reserved for them? Im really not trying to be a ****. The current PC system is one sided. And if money dosent matter why dosent every corp have districts? Oh cause the biggest alliances grabed most of the good people? And now refuse to fight eachother to monopolize PC? Cause that looks like whats happening.
Meanwhile everyday people are racking millions upon millions, Only putting more distance between you and all the other corps because people dident have a fair chance. "New edens not fair" Thats crap. Its a game. So it has to be made from the ground up with some elements of fairness. Everyone knows its not balanced out yet. So dont act like it is.
We have an alliance. We just decided to grab people we enjoyed playing with that were also respectable. we dident grab the strongest corps in the game to aviod fighting eachother.

So what do you suggest? Don't allow alliances? Its just a name and a chat channel really.
How do you propose we keep these 'large alliances' from playing together? Is it not human nature to find friends?
Or should we all disband our alliances because you're mad people are owning land and you arent?

Well if its just a channel how could you even know half the people in your alliance? Its not just a channel. And i find it hard to beleave that everyone just likes eachother so well thats why your all togeather now. Not a single low profile corp in your alliance. Just big names with lots of good players, Lots of no lifes and tryhards. And thats what brought you togeather. Part of that is fine, Another part of it is very petty. One of the main reason alot of people are done with PC. |

I see what you're saying, but you're making it a bigger problem than it really is.
As Infected said above, EoN is selling districts, and tbh at this point some people even giving away districts. I won't say it's impossible to get land in PC.
Maybe pay someone to protect you if you can't protect your land ... or don't.
You're making it seem like it's impossible to get into PC. It's obvious the alliances with skilled corps will be on top of the food chain, but that doesn't mean there's not enough room for everyone.

Nobody wants to own ALL the districts, that is far too time consuming, and boring. Please, hit up Cubs, buy a district or two, throw out some attacks when the clone packs are cheaper.
The more people in PC to fight, the more fun we all have, and the more competition we all get over pub stomping with full squads even running less than proto gear.
Have poor teamwork within your corp? PC! It will cost you some cash at the start, but it will force your corp as a whole to have a stronger squad/team mentality. As well as make you all think more tactically and even enjoy the game more. |

I can understand though that PC probably seems like a waste of time for most players, since its only purpose is to generate money, but in the end if you get attacked much at all you are generally bleeding isk.
We do need to fundamentally rework PC to provide unique rewards that is not just 'more isk'. Using eve industry and crafting officer variant weapons with special minerals extracted only from PC/PI is likely the future of PC... but thats probably a good 6-9 months away. Until then, its just a glorified corp battle system. So buy a couple districts and lets just have fun until there is a reason to own districts! |

Just about anything that benefits the individual or small groups will normally benefit larger groups more.
If one player can make 1k more ISK per match, then a group of ten is making collectively 10k ISK more per match.
If you separate things out so a certain alliance can only hold so much space, then current alliances will just fragment, claim each to what they had before, and then just form a coalition and carry on much the same as before.
It's very hard to make mechanics that -only- benefit small groups, or individuals, and ultimately such goals are normally counter intuitive to the whole concept of New Eden in general, where through careful maneuvering, planning, and coordination you can do anything. Right now the successful corps have obtained their success through hard work, smart play, and through just overwhelming their enemies. In New Eden just about any tactic (short of hacking) is considered viable. |

PC is generaly a isk losing venture, if anyone attacks you daliiy, you stand to lose isk.
So the established corps have isk, but that might be due to the lack of attacks, a person could be wealthyer just avoiding it and doing pub matches.
Also, how many million per day is it split how many ways? Pretty slim I bet. |

the clone packs are very smart and very tactical. yes it should have been done form the start but if you play your cards well you can use this to your advantage. the idea is to force people to use more clones than packs. and it's a great concept and will serve me well.
