Go into training, learn/teach, leave training, play real battles, test what you've learned, then back for more training. This would be a good idea even for the oldest and best of the Corps. COD is -----> that way

COD is -----> that way This has nothing to do with COD. You are absolutely right, nothing to do with COD but it sure sounds like some of this is a regurgitation of the COD games, perhaps a more unique approach could be taken. There a many ways to test weapons, equipment and vehicles out other than being a vanilla flavor. For instance, Eve has several training missions that could be easily replicated on the battlefield through all lines of gear and equipment. Another way would be to allow access to owned districts to free roam, explore and experiment. Other people have suggested a firing range for both vehicles and weapons and equipment giving a user models to test their gear on and how effective they are.
My personal belief in the Training area is that you should be able to adjust the "difficulty of target" similar to the way you would for the DOA franchise arena fighting games, setting moves and gear according to what you want to test against. This would be a firing range/arena situation where you already know what the computer is going to do because you told it to do it and this means you can then practice moves such as melee attacks, cloaking, running and firing and also healing by adjusting the dummy's health bar and how they interact with the user. There should also be an option to add more bots to the training room, so one could be your buddy that you are repping, one could fire on your buddy bot and one could fire on you.
This is more ideal for a training room than anything else I have seen in here, covering multiple scenarios and being mostly content created by the user. "What will we train today?" Additionally it could be useful to allow squads and teams to deploy together to the firing range allowing them to replay battles recorded by users to gain added insight to why they won or lost, letting them fly (non-combat) through the fight beginning to end in replay mode to better understand their opponents.
I think this covers things that would be useful for everyone, educational as well. For instance if buddy bot 1 with 450 armor and 200 shield HP cannot stand up under the fire of a ballacs ar whilst being repped with a six kin triage repair tool while you are taking fire but you can manage to pick him up with a wyrkomi needle before you die to enemy bot 2 in location X on Y map then he is able to pick you up with his Kin 12 Needle and carry on, then you have ways to test and adjust your fits and your squads fits to suit situation where the best solution is not readily available. Doing this without cost can be beneficial to the entire community as it removes the need to grind massive amounts of isk, instead allowing squads and teams to plan tactically what to do in any given situation.
Can we have an ETA on Legion please, don't want to buy a computer till I know what I need to run this
