I have been there since the start of closed beta.
Every time any issue has been raised to CCP the response has been some variation of "we will fix this sometime soon(tm)".
Planetary conquest is an absolute lag filled mess at the moment, and what does CCP do? Announces some tweaks to some database values. How does this address player concerns?
Whilst we're at it. Why do we even have a CPM?
This game is a far cry from the triple A shooter that CCP was marketing it as. And lately I'm starting to doubt that it ever will be. Look at the dust video from fanfest. Most of the stuff that CCP said was coming this year is nowhere on the radar.
Read the reviews of this game. Dust is a joke. It promised so much, and delivered, well, what did it deliver exactly? Dodgy aiming mechanics, AFK players, and redlining tanks.
Wow. How innovative.
As server numbers decline, I can't wonder why I should bother spending another cent on this game.

As I said in some other QQ thread a few weeks ago. Server numbers have been steady at 5.5 max daily. Doom threads are so pointless. |

Well judging by the declining server numbers, an increasing number of people are choosing not to play it. |

currently the only point in dust is that you value surviving a lot more then in other games, by putting a price on dieing suddenly you feel it a lot more when you do die.
most of us are hoping they expand purpose beyond that in the future. |

It IS free if you want it to be. Take a break from the Aurum, someone else will pick up the slack. That way you get your "moneys worth." When Dust514 is in free-mode it becomes the MOST bang for your buck out there. Hell, I'll trade you responsibilities; you stop paying and enjoy the game & I'll drop some cash on some camo-stuff that I've been looking at. Win-Win. Eriknaught out. END TRANSMISSION. |

Your absence of evidence is amusing.
Please refer to eve-offline.net
It's also worth pointing out that there is no public information on what proportion of active players actually put money into the game. Though I think for free to play games it's usually in the single digit percentage

More doom and gloom. If you don't like the game, then go play something else instead of trying to inspire misery. Some of us enjoy the game and your pointless wailing is unnecessary and unwanted. |

The point of dust is the same as all fps games. Ignore life, responsiblities etc, shoot people. Convinve yourself that KDR actually gives you a higher standing in the real world. |

I said "trending up" as in the chart has a distinct upward motion. Declining would be pointing the other way. I didn't say numbers were high and getting higher. Server numbers were in the toilet before 1.2.

Because I've collected my fair share of gold coins and determined the outcome of enough cutesy zombie apocolypses. And because it's the biggest roller coaster ride of a FPS on the scene right now. And, it's better than that crap on TV and what remains of Netflix. |

Eve Offline is showing a trend up though... I mean we're edging closer to surpassing our launch day numbers something planetside 2 has NEVER gotten remotely close to doing. Eve Offline

It looks like they didn't start collecting data until May 4 of this year...the 3-month, 6-month and year charts all show the same data, just with fewer points plotted on the longer-term charts.
With the exception of a spike over the past few days (3x SP weekend, most likely), I see a definite downward trend. I don't feel particularly pessimistic about the games future, regardless. Guess I might be a fanboi. |
