I'm currently using the minmatar logi suit, only spect upto adv level so far. I originally chose it because i though it would be a versitile suit with its balance of slots, however I'm finding that as far as the fit goes there isnt alot of options. I have to dual tank to get the suit to survive in its roll. But when playing as logi I know that getting my armor repped is quite rare. I just keep thinking that the caldari suit would give me more options. The larger shield and high slots would mean I could focus mainly on shield tanking, or going more of a gank fit with damage mods. And also my low slots would have much more options, I could fit an armor tank, or use CPU or PG upgrades if needed, and the option of biotics or code breakers, matching the minmatar logi bonus.
The only downside I can see is the 3 equipment slots at proto level, but triage nanohives could take the place of a rep tool if I wanted drop links. So is this a fair judgement, that what looks like the most diverse suit originally is pretty strict on its fittings in the end?
Btw this is as a logi roll, not to make a proto cal logi to bunny hop and kill everyone with as a strong assault suit.... although I admit the option to do it could be rather fun :P |

Logi Bro wrote:Def Minmatar, I can explain if you like:
Just so you know I am speaking of the proto versions when I compare suits. The first thing to look at on the Min Logi is speed, it has a large amount of speed over the other logi's, and with that speed you can speed tank, or equip armor plates to give yourself an EHP boost and still end with the same speed as the other suits.
Though it may have the lowest base health, it also has the most well-rounded slots; four of each. Four and four gives you great dual tank abilities, which is the best form of tanking, which leads to high survivability, and with the inherent logistics self-repair, it is always ready for the next fight even if it loses a large percentage of armor.
The racial bonus, when coupled with Systems Hacking, literally doubles your hacking speed, which makes you a one-man army or the best support unit, whichever you choose. It is also tied for the most amount of equipment.
Plus you don't look half as banana-ish as the Yellowdari Logi does.
I am rather enjoying dual tanking, it helps a lot with and flux grenade lobbed my way, but armor seams to be weaker in general than shields with all the mass drivers around now. I do find survivabillity to be very important, what use is a logi with a needle when hes the first to fall? :P. My main annoyance is that is dosen't have the same skill trees as eve. It would be so much better if the specialisations were treated like T2 ships, get your medium suit for your race to 5, then logi suit skill is the same for any with your racial prerequisites |

hackerzilla wrote:Fitting damage mods for all the slots on the caldari logi is a death wish unless of course you're sniping. I might take off 1 complex shield extender for a complex damage mod.
Haha, I wasn't meaning 5 damage mods, more along the lines of 3 complex sheilds, complex recharger and damage mod would give a good tank still while having choice for my highs.
I just put one point into cal logi and played around with the advanced aurum suit. And I have to say it felt much nicer to me. around the same effective health but with it mostly in shield, around 600ehp 400/200 split.
Im wondering how gal is the most well rounded? I can see it will be the easist to fit, and also has the 4 equipment slots, but with such an emphasis on armor tanking surly you are too slow and easy to kill? |

Stack shield extenders on the highs, 1 nice repairer and two plates on the lows and you're golden, armor reps so fast it'll blow your mind.
I did originally like the idea of ammar, with the side arm.... only I noticed that it dosent get it till proto level, which tbf would take me around a few months to get there with the other skills i need on the way. Thing is, the bonus is only going to add 1.25 armor a second to a complex repper and it dosent feel like a worth while passive concidering the low amount of slots |

Need I say more? If the answer for you is yes then WAKE UP! Minmatar also can go armor or shield (much like an amarr) unlike cal and gall and has boosted hack speed... P.S 4 EQUIPMENT SLOTS... AKA all 4 items. Easy 2k wp per game for anyone who's not duh duh duh.
All 4 items? I think your forgetting active scanners and remote explosives :P

Gallente logi is for the 'true logis' with a hard on for CPU/PG req... but imo.. meh.. its not worth it.
Amarr logi is just all around a bad suit. It has the least slots, the slowest move speed, and still only 3 equip slots. This was designed purely for lone wolf snipers imo. The racial bonus is so lol.
Min Log... hacking bonus sounds good... but imo its a terrible bonus. This logi is good for speed shotgun fits cause it has the highest base speed with which to stack 2 complex kin cats on.. but otherwise... meh..
I start min logi on my first respec, and then went cal logi on my second respec. Cal logi is way better.
Until they either nerf the cal logi or redo the awful racial bonuses for everyone else... cal logis will always be superior.
Haha, thats pretty much what ive though to the other suits, after looking through the equipment, ive decided rep tool is the only equiment I feel I would want at proto level. I'm not a fan of the follow the heavy with a rep tool up his arse all day gameplay. Kill then pick up seams to work better as well as being a fun way to logi.
I also have a build in mind, active scanner, remote explosives and drop links. sounds like an interesting way to try and sneak around blowing stuff up and getting to good locations for spawns
