All characters terminated, dust deleted from my ps3. I would say, "It's been fun." but it hasn't. A game that you have to build your skill points up for a month or two before it becomes fun just isn't worth it. The lack of balance has cost CCP yet another potential paying customer.
By the way, all you fanboys and armchair commandos feel free to trash talk me and call me a whiny little crybaby all you want if it boosts your pitiful egos. I won't be back to respond for you to get your kicks seeing me blow up again on these forums. |

After the initial rage subsided, I decided to step back into the forums before Albert Farrier breathes his last.
I really wish I hadn't posted in anger. I prefer to be civil, even behind the anonymity granted by the internet. Judging by the overall tone of the forums, I am surprised that I have not been derided as a crybaby who should just toughen up.
I would like to comment on the aspect of grinding though. I don't mind grinding at all. My favorite games require huge amounts of it. Heck, I platinumed FFXIII. I couldn't imagine more grinding than that. Even in Tekken, in essence, I have been grinding for years trying to improve my skill at the game in order to beat my friend who is unrivaled in the game in my circle of friends. The problem arises when the grinding is almost purely against enemies who are not at or around my level. Every other game I have ever played had me grinding against enemies that I could beat in order to get strong enough to face the ones that I couldn't.
I see great potential in dust. I just don't think it was ready to be released yet. I won't be returning to the game, but I do hope that they get it polished up and have its potential realized. I fear that it may not happen though. In the time it takes to get it right, the player base could very easily dwindle down to a few die hard dust fans.
Albert and his two brothers only have a few more hours to live before their scheduled executions. So any insults need to be made quickly. I can now laugh at the absurdity of it all, both at my own rage (though that is tempered a bit when I look at what was once my good ds3 ) and at the total lack of balance in the game. |
