The CEP has formally eliminated the position of State Executor formerly held by Tibus Heth. It has also reaffirmed the illegal status of the Templis Dragonaurs and dissolved what was left of the Provists.
I really have to applaud the move. With luck, the megacorporate leadership will remember the lessons of the last few years and maintain the State meritocracy in good working order. |

Um ... respectfully, soldier, this reads more like a holo-thriller plot than a likely reality.
Tibus Heth has demonstrated audacity and some minor talent for strategy. However, the Templis Dragonaurs are merely a tiny minority of hard-line, racist Caldari nativists. The thing to fear from them is not their separate military might, but the allure of their ideas to the ethnic Caldari of the laborer and technician castes. The solutions they offer have a sort of simplistic appeal: the Caldari State for the Caldari people alone, the expulsion of the client states and non-ethnic Caldari, a return to the glory of the Raata Empire before anyone on Caldari Prime had ever heard the word, "Gallente."
They are the shadow of the Caldari State, something hateful that insinuates itself where discontent rises. It is not a coincidence that Tibus Heth's rise was a result of a popular revolt.
But absent popular support-- and make no mistake, they have lost it-- they are nothing, reduced to a shadow once more. |

Additional news on the condition of Former Executive Heth:
It appears that he was injured, but most likely not killed, in the incident at Haatamo, and is likely hiding, with a new face, among supporters in Black Rise. This would seem to very likely place him in the Caldari/Gallente conflict zone. |

Respectfully, Fae-haan, it might be that the Gallente would be sensible enough to turn Heth-hnolku over to the State. After all, nothing would please the former executor more than martyrdom at Gallentean hands. If they are clever, they will forego vengeance in order to disarm the former executor's legacy.
Of course, you can't depend on everybody, in any society, to be clever, or even sensible. Um, also, turning him over might lend fire to the belief of some of his supporters in the State that the CEP is under Gallente control. Still ... that seems preferable to a show trial in the Federation that could secure his legacy and annihilate any chance of peace. |

That being the case, Fae-haan, it may be wise of the Caldari to make absolutely sure you find him first. If Heth-hnolku falls into Gallente custody, his survival will depend to a large degree on Gallentean forbearance. That, with respect, is not really something the State will be able to change even with an invasion fleet. In fact, with the Federation already sensitized over others' recent attempts to retrieve prisoners by force ...
... well, it's not difficult to imagine a scenario where a State war fleet arrives at the station where Heth is being held, to be greeted with an unofficial message sent from the brig reading something like:
Quote:Sry, weapons malfunction. Wnt to pick up the bits? Bg mess. Cld use hlp.
Effective hunting is probably a better idea than trying to retrieve a prisoner the average Gallentean would very likely as soon see dead. It's not as though their soldiers don't have reason to hate him, themselves. |

Further news: Kaalakiota is still trying to recover financially from Heth's time as CEO.
As a side note, with the Executor's disgraced departure, Gallente and Matari outfits are more willing to deal with Kaalakiota, and the news is now calling Heth-hnolku's creative approaches to corporate finance of military and political operations "theft." Kaalakiota itself is still speaking obliquely, calling them "unusual and needless financial drains." |
