your best bet to do well is to find a good corp, and never talk to a single person on this forums ever =) |

Ahh a fellow Gallente, make sure not to use your racial armor unless you want to get stomped all day !
If you want instant win button, then Minmatar Assault, flaylock pistols, and complex shield extenders. |

Take what you read here on the forums with a grain of salt, that's all.
There is a corp recruitment forum as well, D-Uni is around and I believe there's a few others willing to train newberries.
Also the chat channel Dust Help in game should get you going, hopefully it's in use. |

I advise you stay in Academy battles for as long as possible. I also advise you join a few public channels and join a corporation that can show you the ropes. |

I too advise joining a few public channels: Dust Help is good if you have any questions, LFSquad is good if you are looking for a squad.
Also you might think about joining a starter Corp to help you learn some things (Dust Uni is good at teaching).
Read Rookie training grounds to get yourself a but caught up. Avoid asking questions in General Discussion because though you most likely will get the right answer somewhere you'll also get a lot of BS |

Dust University!!! It's the biggest one, but a lot of corps will take their time to train up noobs. Try to get into Cronos, LoI, ROFL, or Eon if you can. |

Hi Meth Ma'n,
Welcome to DUST 514 and is nice to see you around, hoping that you are enjoying the game so far. I am now moving this thread to the 'Rookie Training Grounds' where probably you will get more help and the advice you may are looking.
Cheers.

You can use my skill planner to experiment with skills. I like it better than Driftward's google spreadsheet but to each their own. There is also a google spreadsheet fitting tool stickied in this forum. It's kind of hard to use but it is all we've got until CCP decides to release a SDE!!. |

some people are running around gunning everyone down unopposed. people will cry about proto gear and flaylocks. I am telling every one i meet in game a little secret. sticking together and squading up are nice but how would you like a real edge?
you can be unstoppable. I will be broadcasting how over teamchat this evening but for you loyal fans of chaos try this.
upon getting a black screen press down to open map,L1 for neocom, open playerlist. back out of everything and presto optic camo. no one can see you now. run and gun with glee |

Go into skills, dropsuit upgrades, then the armour and shield upgrades - these will increase your armour/shields by 5% per skill point.
Go to the market, find the malitia gear, go to drop suits and find the amarr heavy suit. Buy some - their cheap.
Go to fittings and make a new suit with the heavy suit.
The thing is the heavy suit will let you live long enough to atleast see what's going on before you die (or heck, you might even beat the other guy). You learn nothing from an instant death - but if you can survive long enough to spot where they come from, then you learn their dirty little attack vectors.
Also in skills, weapons, light, assault rifle. Some bastards seem to skill them so high it's like they've got a automatic sniper rifle... |
