Hi!
Well, I believe new weapons are great for this game, tho they should be introduced different.
Instead giving us a new weapon and skill tree which can corrupt all our games included PC, which is the one I care the most, why not creating a weapon test game?
Lets say that we can only try those weapons in ambush, so if we wanna give them a try we can actually help developing that weapon but without ruining our overall game experience in every game mode, including PC.
Maybe it was an accident, but when Shield Energizers were introduced they had no skill requirement. Well, let's do the same for new content but in a controlled environment, not everywhere. This "mistake" gave us the opportunity to give them a try and realize if it's worthy or not for our playstile.
Looking back, some new weapons weren't exactly balanced (Or people said so).
Like the Laser rifle, Mass driver, Flylock Pistol and the list goes on.
So the suggestion, in short, is having only one game mode for use this sort of weapon OR just don't let them be playable in PC matches as long as it's "tuned". And preferable, without the need of investing skill points into it.

CCP is working on kinda a weapon test room where you can play with stuff you don't have skills for. |

@ Soraya- Bro, he wasn't asking about the test lab.
Anyways, Yea, the Saga II and the Engerizers was a accident. But, as for your idea, no. There's the test server, Singularity (often called SISI) for testing weapons. We should get access to it SOONtm when they figure out how to get people on there.

Ok, but if we already have a server for that, why everytime they include a new weapon everyone think is unbalanced?
I'm not tryin to please everyone, but I suggest we get access to that server, then
And only people who wanna try those weapons while they are developed do so, cuz at the moment everytime they introduce a new one people will start crying or will ruin our PC matches with unbalanced weapons. Like what's happening with the flylock right now.
THataway we try new stuff and doesn't mess around with the entire game |
