Had a few corp battles tonight with no enemies and we ended up making small 1v1s and 2v2s with bets on them and it was great fun.

Me, Sha and a few more people started discussing about organizing an actual arena where there is no enemy and have rivals go at it since the friendly fire allows us to teamkill. Betting, trashtalking and all that good stuff will be included and you will have a crowd aswell.

Custom rules and everything will be discussed between the contestants and Seraphim Initiative will be pulling the attacks on Seraphim Auxiliaries to get the teams going. It will take a bit of discussion and preparation before we start launching those tournaments and so far we have some great ideas going up.

Think of it as the upcoming Gladiator Arena that's in development by CCP. But before we take this seriously, we'd love to have some feedback from you guys.




PS: Being in the crowd does not guarantee that you won't die.


Additional details: We started thinking about going as far as streaming on TwitchTV everytime we have those little tournaments, giving it more of an esports feel but do not take this one for granted since we'll have to get hooked up with the gear to record.

As far as prizes go, we will definately see into it. ISK will be definately there if people place bets, merc packs and PSN cards might show up but they will probably be off donations.

Lol we have been doing this for weeks in no shows. Lots of cool spots on the maps for 1v1s. I personally don't do em but are defintely fun to watch.

If I wanted 1v1 I would play Tekken. :P

Another idea im floating is having a forge war. Everyone make a fit, whether skilled into it or not even a militia forge can OHK anyone. Show everyone its not as easy as it sometimes looks

Disaster, how would you feel about making every participant pay a small fee to cover losses incurred due to headshots and explosives? Also, I'd like to bet on these duels, but wagers will be pretty hard to track if they're only being yelled out over comms. Perhaps the participants could be instructed to write down their bets in the Tdome514 channel.

Lets stop trying to govern this. If you can't afford a fit, use a cheaper one. It is all for fun anyway.

What happen to SI?

Alright seeing how Killar was nice enough to spark some interest in me again for the Thunderdome, it's back and most importantly this weekend! I won't get into too many details with the time just yet because Killar's time was not too suitable for us SI boys but I will post the excact time as soon as I get to speak with him. Keep an eye out for the time, it'll be posted on the main thread followed by a bump.

Killer wasn't able to change the time too much so SI will probably not be present this weekend to record the matches. We will however host another Thunderdome later this week that will be a bit earlier in order to get the recording up and running and most importantly play ourselves.
