Surely, given that a vehicle is much larger and easier to spot than a suit, it should also be detected from further away? I propose that, instead of a single scan radius, suits have multiple, concentric bands. First band: exactly the same as now. Second band: twice the radius, +50% scan resolution Third band: three times the radius, +100% scan resolution Then vehicle scan radii can be tweaked to fall into various bands such that non-scout vehicles can be detected a bit further out than present, and encourage suits (especially scout suits) to fit scan modules for a small edge, while still retaining the usefulness of the active scanner for highlighting enemy positions in a certain arc to your entire squad (plus possibly farm WP, which the passive scanner would not do).
