Ive used the basic, advanced,and proto flaylock and the only one thats OP is the proto, the other ones are fine. Aren't all proto weapons OP?

I think is ridiculous the PG it takes to fit a flaylock is less than a nova knife. Is increasing the PG fitting the solution: No, I thinks is a unique feature for the gun for being so suit fitting friendly for those who only want a sidearm to BE a sidearm.
The increased splash damage over level is understandable, even if the proto level is a little too much for a sidearm. Is decreasing the splash radius the solution: No, if it becomes a direct hitter mind as well use the scrambler.
The RoF and little difference of the direct damage and the splash damage. Is reducing the RoF and/or add more substantial number between the splash and direct damage the solution: I think so, being able to shoot three little rockets so quickly and with similar results for direct or splash damage is dead on CQC, besides the recharge for being a pistol is faster than any primary.
Here's my point in a situation: A mass driver comes to you, you have no shield, he will have to shoot 2 to 3 shells to kill you if is a normal one will be around 2 second given that he doesn't miss and how close are you for evade the projectile. Now the same situation with a flaylock, he will have to shoot 2 projectiles (1 if is a core one) and will do so in less than 2 seconds and the miss opportunity is a gamble: He trying to shoot at you from medium range or run & jump for you to shoot at your feet. plus the recharge factor (hint: he's faster to load his gun than you).
I'm really disappointed of guy's getting in the roofs and hunting the guys with low shields like hungry vultures, and even more from the ones carrying two of those hand missile launchers. But hey at least they're aiming to my direction and using an actual gun, unlike those taxi driver ********!!! |
