Anyone else notice how easy it is to kill the driver of a moving LAV with the turret on the Baloch?
I killed like 8 drivers yesterday and at least 2 of them were driving away from me at the time....in fact for the first 4 or 5 i wasn't even really aiming at the driver.
I have shot out more LAV drivers yesterday then i have with an AR or HMG during my entire 3+ months playing Dust.
Has the Baloch turret always been like this? is this new to 1.2? |

It's always been easy to kill drivers with small turrets/explosives for some odd reason.
Now if only they were that good against infantry lol.
P.S:I think it may be the splash damage from the small turret that's offing them |

Scatter blaster turrets can shoot out LAV drivers pretty easily. A little too easily. I dont know why.
Was riding with an LLAV and he was following another LLAV, I was shooting the back and managed to kill the driver even though I wasnt aiming for him. |

I think turrets recently got a very small blast radious that highly effects lav drivers specifically. Oddly. |

No - I mean that installations can shoot the drivers out of any LAV. |

This is new since 1.2 the hit box on LAVS is broken... AV nades will kill the driver as well now leaving the vehicle still alive for a free hack and vehicle.
It's like the driver absorbs all damage dealt to the vehicle first, and then the vehicle will take damage. |

That's not true at all this has been around for quite a while, i agree that there is something wrong with the hitbox though.
The lav definitely takes damage as well but there are times when splash damage seems to hit the player rather then the vehicle.
For example having the front of your tank rammed by the lav, and it exploding,and having the front gunner killed and the top gunner injured.

The experience i am talking about above i used a militia free LAV turret and i have spent zero SP on turrets.
Honestly this might be the perfect LLAV killer. Cheap, no SP needed and anyone can use it. |

AV nade blew me up, vehicle barely damaged, tank shoots the back of my vehicle and kills me barely damaged the vehicle, lav rams my lav head on killing his vehicle leaving mine scratched but kills my gunner? Blaster installation shoots passenger side of vehicle killing me vehicle barely damaged.
I skilled into llavs on Friday and stopped driving them on Saturday after being killed driving 8 times while my vehicle was left for them to hack.
What a waste of sp.. |

"It's got an exposed driver" seems like only a partial response to the complaint, "But it's got better defenses than the average HAV."
Admittedly, having killed the driver makes me feel much better about his ride surviving. |

Hopefully CCP will nerf them to hell soon. Temporary Fix... LAVs no longer damage/kill you?
Sounds good to me. Imagine the rage, when people like Soldiersaint try to run over you but it has no effect. |

ive knifed a driver out of an LAV, no worries if you get on the hood and aim right you gank him and you dont even have to charge up |

I think this post correlates to a different topic. My theory is that because the LAV is moving faster, it increases your dropsuit hitbox so much that it becomes bigger than the LAV hitbox. Therefore leaving you more vunerable to being killed out of your Sweet Ride. |

Same here, and twice in one game with my alt. Funny too, cause I was actually using the Logi LAV for something else other than making hood ornaments, and when I actually try to make strategic drop-off points, the installations can one or two shot you by apparently hitting you in the head. Seems the turrets got smarter; so did I. Time to find something to do while I wait for CCP to fix anything in this game (and by that, I mean ANYTHING). |
