Unfortunately Im not the Wizard, and Molden Heath isn't OZ. I had certainly hoped for larger corps to stay out of this, that is apparently not the case.
As for hiring mercs to defend lands, well this is an underlying principle of the gamw that has been pushed by many since very early on. Once again hard to go against that and Team Players at least try to be mercenaries for hire whenever possible, apparently now the indies are those looking for business.
I remain adamant about big guys ATTACKING little guys. This is just sad imo and I always want to know about it. |

My CEO has really been itching to play a PC battle but the one time we tried the servers went down. Any way to create matches for small corps to battle for a place. It'd be fun to earn it but I will tell him about what you are offering.

There are currently 2 planets designated for indie corps. The concept is exactly as u say, but it appears as with everything in dust its a work in progress |

It's ok cubs just know your own guys are in these PC matches attacking the little guys. We just gave that district to them they where going to drive us broke they had plenty of money they would if judt keep attacking us like they did for several months.
we where doing good but when they brought in big hitters we had to do the same and pissed off the people that where in my corp so just going to wait tell we can play with the big boys as a corp (no mercs)to get in to this but I do know what planets I'm going to start at and what corp and there alliance I'm going for already lol. Gives me somthing to look forward too. |

I am only 1 person, I cant control the actions of others. theres a lot of things I CAN do, but this is a video game, and I cant force anyone to play/not play/be a forum warrior/etc etc.

This is very true and I understand u can't be every where at all times which is the reason I'm not upset and those guys have hated us since day one lol. So much that when we did beat them the next battle they only had 4 of their corp members actually in the battle the rest where bad asses from other corps made me feel good that they spent a fortune to take us out lol. It's not a big deal we know now we our a force to be reckon with now since we bet a full proto team with all advanced gear and lost by 10 clones and 2 ticks on the mcc with a paid merc battle of bad asses with proto. Actually made us stronger as a corp more then it hurt us. I will talk to you about it in game tonight though if ya really wanna know. |

the whole scene of indy corps is getting more and more complex every day. The first couple weeks everything was good, lots of activity, no known issues with ringers etc.
Now that the big boys are in somewhat of a 'peacetime' Im hearing of all kinds of things going on, but little in a direct manner, which I can place little faith on authenticity by hearing things through the grapevine.
I cant help if I don't have info, for all I know corp X has a beef with corp Y and is spinning a tale to get my guys directly involved etc etc.
This is New Eden and the mentality has always been based on deception and shenanigans so everything needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
Its also tough to have simple rules in place that can be easily adhered to. To my knowledge players from major allied corporations have not been ATTACKING on the behalf of the indie corps, which is what Ive been stressing.
There have been contracts for big guys to come in and help defend the indies, Team Players has accepted some of these now as well.
I agree even this is not necessarily keeping things on an even playing field, but look at the other indie corps about this. If you all play the game yourselves and field your own teams, this would never be an issue.
Ive also heard of some big boys having alt corporations, where their ALT runs it and they are building up their own teams. Personally I don't see anything wrong with this as the character is NOT the one with 15 million SP.
at the SAME time, I DONT agree with big boy alts getting involved in ANY manner with the indie corps. this is simply another sign of the New Eden mentality, and if I have the info I can better sort things and try to come up with a resolution.
as you can see this web is getting woven on many layers, and im not one to ever jump to conclusions or act without proof of things..
