Not a scam? Ok.
However it is the same rental bullshit that has been plastered all over the board previously. |

You should've used an alt man, this just makes it look like the serf is standing up for the master. |

We stand behind our words, so no alt is necessary. "Hiding" behind an alt........that would portray ones weakness and servitude. Hiding among the bushes is the handiwork of a coward. "A ship in port is safe, but that's not what ships are built for."
While I appreciate the integrity, I too will stand by my words. It really appears as though the organgrinder starts his music and out jumps the monkey to defend his masters honor.
There has to be something going on that we don't know about. PHI and PFB are both better than pets, yet why do they vassal themselves to a rental alliance? It just doesn't make sense to me. Most of the self-proclaimed elite corps think scrub when they think of me (hell, even those who were being "carried" in 2010 think the same), yet I haven't been like "ooooh, ooooh, I can haz rental district pleeeeze!!!!".
Scrubs are renters and renters are scrubs, no matter if in Space or on a Planet, simple as.
I know you guys want more than just a Blueberry Muffin of renters and their overlord (at least I'm hoping), I just don't know why you decided to take the ***** way out and pledge fealty to someone who only wants to profit from you.
In response to your quote, if ships aren't built for being safe in port, why'd you dock up with renters? |

@ChicagoCubs4Ever Somewhere in this thread you clearly state that there is a "buy in" (not those words exactly but that is what it boils down to).
Yet you say that this isn't some form of rental agreement despite the fact that you need to buy in.
Why would anyone capable of holding their own and not being a "renter" lower themselves to a point where they were essentially buying acceptance?
I'd call that desperation at best and renter scrubs at worst.
Doesn't matter anyway, CCP is breaking PC even further by giving you 50% more ISK for just sitting on your blueberry muffins.
Errybody hurry up and kiss some ass for some dirty lucre, otherwise just grind pubs and get protostomped by asskissers with ***** envy. Faction Warfare? Lol, that doesn't exist, though we have Merc Battles but that's just what they call the pubs when you can choose if you're attacking or defending. |

@ChicagoCubs4Ever
Of course they wouldn't see it as renting, that would be admitting that they couldn't take the space on their own. Something else I've noticed is that you say "unless contracted to play on it, you won't be seeing us at all". I like how you leave that open, they can pay a "rental fee" (for all intents and purposes) for you to help defend "their" (lol) district from people that are (more than likely) alts of (or at the very least in cahoots with) the very people being paid to help defend the district. There is also no guarantee that you won't accept contracts from their neighbors to evict them from the very district you sold them.
Deny it all you want but it sounds like one huge rental racket to me.
@IgniteableAura
I wasn't asking for free cookies, I was more "thinking aloud" and in disbelief that a clan I've held in fairly high regard for several years now would bring themselves so low as to join the ranks of renters, or (probably more accurately) "those willing to pay for acceptance".
As for your riddle, I can only guess that you're aware of some slow-burn meta going on within EON. that will have them going the way of BOB before long. |

Really, that is what I'm hearing (in a "crazy eddie used car salesman voice too") despite you saying that it isn't like that. |
