First, I will give you the stats, then I will explain:
Standard Breach Swarm Launcher: Direct damage per missile: 330 HP Splash Damage: 19 HP Blast Radius: 1.0 m Missiles per shot: 8 Clip size: 1 Max ammo: 8 Lock on range: 400m Max targets: 1 Lock on time: 3.6 s Reload time: 4.5 s
Advanced Breach Swarm Launcher: Direct damage per missile: 330 HP Splash Damage: 19 HP Blast Radius: 1.0 m Missiles per shot: 10 Clip size: 1 Max ammo: 8 Lock on range: 400m Max targets: 1 Lock on time: 3.6 s Reload time: 4.5 s
Prototype Breach Swarm Launcher: Direct damage per missile: 330 HP Splash Damage: 19 HP Blast Radius: 1.0 m Missiles per shot: 12 Clip size: 1 Max ammo: 8 Lock on range: 400m Max targets: 1 Lock on time: 3.6 s Reload time: 4.5 s
Basically, these swarms release double the swarms of their respective level swarm, but have one shot per clip (one shot and then reload) and have TRIPLE the lock on time. That means the swarms are worse in sustained battles, but their alpha damage is much higher. Standard swarms: 4 swarms per shot * 3 shots in a clip = 12 swarms per clip
Breach standard swarms: 8 swarms per shot * 1 shot in a clip = 8 swarms per clip
Reload after every shot + triple lock on time reduce the DPS a lot, but thanks to the double swarms per release their alpha is higher.

Two shots with a militia swarm laucher do not kill any tanks. My proto swarm launcher with level 2 proficiency and 2 damage mods does not 2 shot any HAV. I need grenades with 2 shots.
And I have 5 shots. I can fire 3 salvos before a tank starts shooting. Or throw 3 grenades before a tank starts shooting.
+1 for this idea.
Maybe make the reload time 6 seconds though for the breach variant.
Triple the lock on time already drops the DPS enough, I don't think making the reload even slower is necessary :) |

Swarms seem to hate going there, even if you are aiming right at it they are very likely to miss it and go else where. Normally, they do 3960, which is 7920 in the 2x spot, hardly 9k. |
