KING CHECKMATE wrote:MAking this post about my CORP instead of what im actually pointing out is pointless and childish. PLUS what is a corp supposed to do besides, you know? PLAYING AS A TEAM?
Of course if the OTHER team wouldn't have 4-8 people sitting in the mcc they might have chance of at least putting up a fight.
This isn't about your corp, I have nothing against you guys and I certainly don't fault you for wanting to play with your buddies.
Its the same problem with SVER, Dios, Grupo, whatever.
Its not your fault its just the game's ****** risk/reward/matchmaking mechanics that forces people to stomp/quit/afk/etc. |

An insult does not equal an elaborate explanation. What do you need to do in the red-line for more than 1 minute...besides camping that is.
The fact that you agree with:''out of the MCC in 25 secs'' becomes pointless if they can go out and hide behind a rock all game behind the red line....
Ok let me elaborate, with regard to the redline issue.
There are many matches at the moment which involve one team being over-run by the other team.
It gets to the stage where there is nothing you can do but retreat, take cover and wait the match timer out.
There is absolutely no point in running out as an individual or in a group to face certain death. At that stage it is about not losing isk and getting through the match.
In those matches you get your sniper rifle (if you are not already carrying it) and try to inflict some pain on the opposing team. If you can kill just one of those expensive suits, then job done.
And as for being 100% redlined, it does happen. Saying that you know for a fact that it is impossible...
I absolutely agree that AFKers who sit behind a hill in the redline or in the MCC are arseholes, but there is no need to penalize players who are trying their best against overwhelming odds, just because a few players AFK.
The idea that you die if you stay in the redline is the dumbest idea I have heard, and there has been some wonderful competition in the whole redline discussion. It is actually pretty selfish, as selfish as the AFKers themselves
On a side note, I play EU TZ so I am not seeing as much of this AFKing as many people seem to be, I also try to enter FW matches as much as I can because some of the best fights are to be had there.
As for sniping, I go to where I get the best vantage point, if it's in the redline I really do not care. Although since the "Draw-distance stealth sniper nerf" if you are in the redline you can't be seeing very much at all through the scope.
Anyway I hope your tears have dried up since you created the thread.
If you are going to post ideas, try to come up with something that is a good solution for everyone playing, if you want to be taken seriously that is.
I've not given my solution to the problem because i can't think of one that makes any kind of sense.
