I bought the elite pack recently and was wondering why the 150 suits it came with say that I don't have the necessary skill to use. Is it supposed to be that way? The C-1, C-1 Series, and Ck.0 are all unavailable and seeing as how I skilled into Logi if it's not a mistake they will always be locked, which is gonna be upsetting. Please tell me this is a mistake.
The blueprint suits are nice but I was really looking forward to trying the proto suit out... |

I understand that but why should I have to spec into a certain suit to use the ones I bought with the pack? The blue prints that came with it don't require you spec in, you just don't get any bonuses without speccing. If this isn't an error then you're pretty much forced to spec into Caldari Assault if you buy the Elite pack just so you don't waste the 150 suits. |

To me they should be treated like other consumables where you can't restock them in the market because they don't exist in the market.
For example, the merc pack has CN-V Light Damage mods that do 5%, you can use these even without speccing into damage mods. The suits should be treated the same way otherwise it's forcing someones hand to go a certain direction. |

I'm thinking of buying the Elite Pack, maybe the Veteran Pack, or both.
We'll see what CCP does with 1.3. If we get two good updates in a row maybe CCP will get $150.... |

I bought two veteran packs so far (yeah I am crazy) and I am loving the bonuses you get from it. Also dropsuits look pretty sick from it, just remember to save one or two for the looks afterwards :P |

The Elite pack is a pretty good deal.IMO
I have been splitting the items between my chars.
The Dren dropsuits are nice for trying out different roles without using up SP.
The Caldari suits I have left unassigned, until I create another alt.
To the OP: If you haven't already assigned them, maybe you could create an alt and spec into the Caldari suits?

Seeing as how:
1. The description clearly states which suits are provided (C-1 indicates Caldari Medium Frame suits) 2. BPO's suits have always taken the skill requirement of the next lower tier; since these are Standard, that means that they take the skill requirement of Militia - meaning no skill requirement to use.
My opinion is that you did not research this ahead of time. You could petition Sony for a refund (you bought it from Sony, not CCP) |

Uh description says it comes with those suits and says nothing about actually having to skill into them to use them. It's like I said earlier, they should be treated like other consumables that come in packs. The Merc pack has a hacked nanohive x50 and a CN-V light damage mod 5% x50 that you don't need to skill into to use. The suits should be treated the the same, I should have 50 standard, advanced, and proto suits to use and when they're done they're gone, then requiring me to skill into Caldari Assault if I want to.
The way it's setup you are forced to skill into Caldari Assault to get the full benefits of the Merk Pack.
This post started off as a question, does anyone actually own a Elite pack and have this same issue? I was hoping this was an error. |

Common sense, sir. The C-1 suits are clearly not BPO, and since non-BPO suits all have skill requirements, logic indicates that these will too. You're just buying in item games - nothing about the description says you are buying something that is unque (like the other items). I knew when I read this; I am not the smartest guy around; seems obvious to me, therefore I think that the buyer of this should be as logical as I am, and that this is obvious to any.
All consumables purchased operate the same - just like they do when purchased with ISK in the market. These are not unique items. That said, even the unique consumables (i.e. Black Eagle; Quafe; etc) have SP requirements to use. Always have since closed beta started. |

What you say is true. I was assuming the suits would not require any special skill too. CCP should be a little clearer on the pack's contents. I have bought all three packs, and you really don't know exactly stat wise, what you are getting.

Yes, the 50x STD/ADV/PRO suits in question require the caldari assault skill to use. This is not a bug. It may not make sense to you, but I think you're in a minority on that. I purchased the Elite pack without ever considering those suits because I never planned to get that skill. The massive amount of Aurum, the 4 30-day boosters, and the other BPOs were good enough for my 100 bucks. I still have those 150 suits and I will be able to sell them for isk later or give them away if I want. |

The tone of your post are coming off like a smart ass and aren't helpful. How the **** does common sense tell you that you have to skill into them? I bought a Merk pack first and was able to use the consumables that if offered without skilling into anything. I didn't skill into nanohives to use the Hacked Nanohives it came with and I didn't skill into damage mods to use the 5% damage mods either. So why should I have to skill into something to use the consumables on the Elite pack. There's no asterick in the description saying that's necessary and to a new player it's not blatently obvioius.
Basically with a Elite pack you get 200 consumables, 150 of them are requiring me to skill into Assault Caldari to use and the other 50 are a ****** tank and you're telling me that makes sense? All of the other packs come with consumables that require no skill. |

Thanks for finally answering my question, I was just making sure I wasn't the only one with this problem. I am by no means disappointed with my Elite pack, just so everyone knows I think it's a great deal. It just didn't make sense to me how all the other packs had advanced items for consumables that required no skill yet this one does. |

I chose that tone as your came across as soundling like an entitled person - you know, the ones who feel that the only way is their way, and all others be damned. Write you posts with less attitude, and you'll get replies with less attitude. If you expect to ask silly and not be called on, the more of a fool you are.
And no, the other packs don't come with consumables with no skill requirements. I've bought several - consumables always have a skill requirement in my experience.
As for there being an * to indicate the skill requirement - again you are buying in game items that have stats available in game, including requirements. You are making a pretty substantial purchase here. The buyer has a certain responsibility to check what he's buying.
Also, you missed the part where I said - if you're unhappy, ask for a refund. I'm sure Sony will consider your request. |

Please, please go read my posts again and show me where I have attitude and seem entitled. All I did was ask if this was an error and then stated it'd be a dissappointment if it wasn't. I'm not sure what pack you got but the Merk pack comes with:
GÇóToxin Assault Rifle (permanent) GÇóHK-2 Scrambler Pistol (x50)
Dropsuits: GÇóDragonfly Assault Dropsuit (permanent)
Gear: GÇóHacked EX-0 AV Grenade (x50) GÇóCN-V Light Damage Modifier (x50) GÇóHacked Nanohive (x50)
You get 200 consumables two advanced level and two standard and none need any skill.
The Veteran pack gets:
GÇóCovenant Sniper Rifle (permanent) GÇóHK4M Shotgun (x50)
Dropsuits: GÇóCovenant Assault C-I (permanent)
Gear: GÇóFused Locus Grenade (x50) GÇóHacked Drop Uplink (x50) GÇó1.5dn Myofibril Stimulant (x50)
Vehicles: GÇóBlood Raider Saga LAV (permanent)
Again 200 consumables that need no skill to use. So "COMMON SENSE" tells me when the Elite pack comes with 200 consumables and 150 of them need a skill I ******* question it. So in short, stop trolling my post and go **** yourself. |

the elite pack is definitely worth it if you play your moneys worth of it. All the dren blueprints...myeah. Plus you can set up some fittings to test out most, not all, types of infantry. You will be able to farm copious amounts of ISK with the gear the elite pack provides, 2 months of boosters. So worth it. Only if I bought it right from the get-go. -__- |
