These and many more similar scores while playing ambush OMS in my logistics LAV. I always play solo and against top corp squads that have dedicated AV. Many times I get these scores while the 2nd best guy from my team gets as high as 10 and even 5 kills.
When a car gets you much more kills than a gun in a FPS there's definitely something wrong with your game. It doesn't matter if takes no skill to drive, the thing gets way too many kills than intended.
My favorite part is to drive into corners when masses of clones gather, usually in the city maps. My record right now stands at 6 consecutively ran over clones that were all in a corner taking cover. Literally the kill feed showed Charybdis Charybdis Charybdis.......
The car is very week against proto AV though, so it's not HP nor resists that should be nerfed. It's its ability to kill thing that makes it OP. Most of these kills were just from accelerating and smashing into a wall at low speed.
I propose a impact speed nerf. The car cannot kill if it's not going at least say 2/3 of its full speed. Smashing into walls should lower health but not insta kill. Also us poor heavies SHOULD be able to tank those impacts and not die instantly.
This will make the logistics LAV work as intended, a fast and reliable vehicle used for transport, recon, harrasment and vehicle logibro. I'm having tons of fun by having these scores, but I feel I'm cheating the game. I wish to have those scores by shooting a gun or spreading chaos in a tank, not by driving a car.

I thought cool, then i read Lav + Logistics and then i went /facepalm...
You might wanna get out of that thing and get those kills solo Manually on foot..

I hate the game in its current state yeah. Doesn't mean I have to be bad at it. Not that I'm that good either, like I said I feel like I'm cheating the game. I once loved Dust but it's these kinds of things that makes me wanna hate it.

Or if you like driving -- just drive. Half of my squad always carries proto AV nades and proto proxies. Come and visit.
Also you lose 3-4 LLAVs per match and came to forums to brag about it? OK, I guess.

How the hell do you die in a logi? I usually go like 16/0 when I logi it up muder taxi style. I've died like, 4 times total, ever, by being shot out by an unexpected Madrugar with a blaster...

About time something like this popped up. Why not have it like the old build. Were you hit someone and YOU STOP. Its like hitting a wall. Keep killing people and make them rage about this until something happens. It looks like you switched from heavy to LAV. |

Most of the time cause the car gets stuck, have to get out, recall it, I'm a heavy.... these scores were the first that came to mind, obviously I have finished matches with 0 deaths. It's not that hard to survive in a logistics LAV, even when faced by proto AV.

Give scouts uber high jumping ability, to jump over LAVs.
Give heavies ability to root themselves to the ground as a defensive mechanism; root means inability to move, double armour, and LAVs that hit you explode.
Give logistics another grenade slot (after reconsidering the Caldari Logi's inherent flaws) so we logibros can run AV nades 24/7.
Let assaults and their ARs suffer. |

try using your gun sometime, enjoy a 'shooter' or go back to the county fair and get in line for bumper cars... Monday is wristband day so u can get your fill for only $10

Win-win Except when you're dropping, you're dampening your own inertia. You're not dampening the planet's inertia. There is a big difference. |

I'm no physicist but i suspect the LAV should consider taking damage when it does a barrel roll of a cliff. I'd also like it to take damage when running into a suit -- the suit has shields and armor and there is inertia involved based on the difference in velocity.
The way things are now is just pathetic. |

The ability to knock over and displace troops is plenty of reason to hit people, without being able to kill them instantly. Of course, I'm not sure that "knocking over" troops is supported by current coding, but I'd be interested in seeing how well it fares.
Damage done by impact needs to be low enough that people aren't using LAV's instead of weapons. Simple as that. There's still plenty of usefulness to them, especially now that they're tankier and don't feel like a death trap. If they can still cause havoc around groups of enemies without instantly killing everything they touch, that would be great. |

Win-win Except when you're dropping, you're dampening your own inertia. You're not dampening the planet's inertia. There is a big difference. Aren't you dampening the force propelling you and the planet toward one another? I don't remember enough about relativity.
The only ones that would really benefit from this inertial dampener solution are heavies who aren't fast enough to get out of the way. Everyone else would be dead whether they had a dampener available to them or not. Not enough of a fix to do all the work of coding it. |

Chicago, you are right and wrong. The game is a sandbox. Players get to choose how they play in it. That's a plus that most of us don't want to give up. Otherwise, we would play CoD.
But the LAV kill rate is absurdly imbalanced. I believe the point of this OP was not to brag but to point out the imbalance. Granted, fatPrincess and every other player who has ever bumped into a red while driving an LAV COULD change this situation by volunteering to not run into enemy players...but do you really consider that a viable method of fixing this issue? |
