I think that the LR needs a lot of love, espesialy since the adition of the new absolute range.
I think the solution would be to give it a double cone type of efect, where it deals less damage up close, and ramps up till you reach your optimal; then, after you pass your optimal the damage begins to fall off again, as you pass LR's beam focal point.
Also the iron sight needs to be removed. Who in their right mind would put an iron sight on a laser pointer? and the glair effect needs to be drastically reduced/made more transparent or just removed altogether. |

Did you even use the LR in 1.2? Pretty much everything you said has been done. Close range it's next to useless, but 50m - 80m near the end of it's heat build up it melts any suit. I use the ELM with 2 5% dmgmods, and it simply can't be outgunned in that range. After about 90m the damage drops off to miniscule hits at --->160m<--- (i got 1 kill at that range.)

I agree though, the iron sights are absolutely TERRIBLE. Give me a red dot like the scrambler. (my other main weap) |

LR still has a dead stop at the end of itS optimal. I know this for fact because I was, just yesterday, dancing at the end of a laser beam, and taking no damage. So, unless this was some kind of horrible glitch, you're wrong.
The LR needs to have the sight removed altogether, not a different one put on it. It's a friken laser pointer for Christ's sake. It is, in itself, a sight already.
And yes I do use the LR. |

It's optimum range is 65-85 (at least when I checked on a turret) 20m of good dmg. Outside of that the damage is pretty damn poor. I would like to see it's range be 30m - 85. I want to shoot it from the hip like a boss. |
