I certainly hope it's able to last a couple of days though.

I think they are just trying to get ahead of themselves and in turn they are breaking more stuff rather than fixing it. So in my opinion, take baby steps CCP. You'll get there soon enough.

Would really like to see a higher amount of Dev presence on the forums. Not asking for you to chat us up about everything, but at least keep us up to date on what you are aware of, and what you are working on. We (or me, cannot speak for everybody) would understand if you told us that you cannot work on so-and-so at the moment because you are fixing something else, but at least let us know. Also, bump.

For shame that the Dev's have not even responded to this thread. A symptom they really need to correct. I would encourage them to employ someone full time to just read the forums and respond to the community. Saying you listen to everything posted is NOT the same as replying and showing you are listening. I am mystified why they don't at least put more responses just stating; Noted and explaining how they are working to address the stated issues. For my 2 ISK worth; I am a casual gamer, I have a full time job and family. My gaming time is limited. I was an Eve player back when it first launched. I lost a year and a half to that gaming addiction and had to walk away before being consumed utterly by it. So I bear no ill will toward CCP. In fact I do admire their work immensely. However after being involved in the Dust beta for over a year I am starting to get tired of Skirmish. Ambush is a no no for me because TDM is so 2004 and bores the **** out of me In the questionnaire CCP sent out during the beta, I mentioned many of the points you have expressed in this thread. Core mechanics are critical if you are doing an online FPS, F2P or otherwise, people will not stay if you cannot do the basics right. All through the Beta I kept repeating to myself that things would get better and they are, slowly. However I do feel CCP rushed the launch just to make the release date match the game name. When 1.2 was released I returned for a night, and although I could see a lot has improved, I found myself uninterested in sticking around, you should not be playing the same map two or three times in the same gaming session, it is just tedious. I do recognise I am a bit of a gaming magpie and rarely do I stick to a game for long. However Battlefield Bad Company 2 managed to keep me hooked for a long time (and I hate contemporary shooters) and I wanted Dust to be the same experience of wanting to play as much as I could, alas it is not shaping up that way. So now I am taking a break from Dust 514. In short; I do need new content. I would prioritize that I need at the very least a lot more maps and possibly a new game mode (or an improvement of Skirmish) to be able to return and feel like it would be worth my while in doing so. Until then I leave my passive booster on my main toon and watch this forum sporadically. I do believe CCP will do us proud, I just worry how long that will take?
