We're doomed
Started a new toon earlier on to see how bad the Academy is, and after getting that 10000 wp to leave the academy I got to admit the players were terrible it was terrible and something needs to be done about this. let me list some examples.
. Players did not go after the objectives and decided to run past them like headless chickens
. Militia AR's all over the place with a few exceptions (SAR, LR and HMG's, snipers, but no SG's strangely)
. Assault suits all round with one Heavy suit (But basic I believe) from my few hours gametime.
. Death Taxi's all over the place, however I did see two tanks (one was vehicle camping) and a Dropship (Didn't go so well).
. No real communication or teamwork, and by that I mean no squads, team and squad channels and anybody on a mic didn't do much making things much harder for the team
. AFK'ers in the MCC
. Didn't look like any skills were purchased to drive vehicles and shoot guns.
Give the newbies tutorials before heading into the battlefield the first time for literally everything on what to do in Dust as it was unbearable to play through. The future of Dust is in your hand CCP.
Also no I did not use a Godlock Pistol or drive a LAV against the newbies, that would be terrible of me. |

Yup no actual explanation or learning in the academy, just a little tiny chunk of free SP brfore you get tossed out. |

There needs to be a tutorial along with it. I mean, they eventually put a marginally acceptable tutorial into EVE. |

I'll agree with most of what you have to say. But as for running past objectives, blowing things up or hacking in general, your doing yourself a disservice by doing any of that in the academy. A person in a match that hacks a bunch of stuff or blows up anything will get kicked out of the academy with barley any more sp than they started with. It sucks to look at it that way, but until matchmaking comes in, I would advise anyone to not do any of that stuff until they get out.

I suppose your right there and I guess it just makes the matches longer so you get more SP. |
