A nanohive will quite often pop without supplying any ammo worth speaking of. The reason is, as far as I can tell, that since Uprising most clusters get used up resupplying 1-2 grenades for a couple of people.
I guess the goal was to prevent people from standing on a nanohive spamming grenades, but the change severely limits the usefulness of nanohives for ammo resupply (not to mention armour repair). Was grenade spam ever a real problem? If it was, it would have been better to lower the rate at which grenades are resupplied. Hell, even making them not resupply grenades would have been preferable to how they currently work.
Please lower the nanite clusters required for grenades and, if required, lower the rate at which grenades are supplied.
If the above is not an option (or can't be quickly implemented) please disable grenade resupply forl nanohives or add new types that only supply ammo (and armour). |

AV grenades are still spammable. I once snuck up on a squad waiting on a HAV to come down a road, they all were on nanohives. I got all their names down, called in my LLV, and did my first (and last) murder taxi spree. Then, I sent a message to each of them telling them **** you. |

Well, yeah, grenades can be spammed but since you'll only get a handful of them before the nanohive is depleted it can't be kept up for very long ;). |

Then again, I don't actually remember the pre-Uprising number of nanite clusters or know if the number of clusters required for grenades was changed. All I know is that they get depleted too fast and that it doesn't take many grenades to do that. The only sensible reason I could think of was to prevent players from raining grenades from a sheltered spot, but who knows -- it's not like we get an abundance of information about what patches actually change (let alone why) :P. |
