i no we can just do planetory conquest battles and get it but there are some really rare, good weapons out there that i would like to get again. They are not in the market anymore and i tried doing merc battles and regulalr battles but i just can't seem to get those rare weapons again. |

Which weapons..? Officer grade weps?
Those are more common the less wps you have... So generally best if you afk farm for officer weps. |

A lot of people who AFK frequently were reporting that they received better rewards at the end of the match. I'm inclined to believe this since you seem to get worse rewards the more assets you lose in a match.
Best way to play DUST is to not :/ |

So this is why after 11,000 kills and countless hours PLAYING this game I have very few officer weapons. Guess I need to start AFK farming some. |

Instead of QQ about this. Why are you using RARE guns in a pub match? Only way I can think that you made this topic.
Tip: Don't use ALL of your rare stuff in a pub match's. Use like 3 to test them. Then stop. This has to be the lamest (for nice words) topic I have seen all day. They are rare for a reason.

Wild theory comin' through, make way.
In one match I was doing better than my usual with Scramblers and I received three of Wolfman's PCP-30s.
In another fairly standard game spent mostly with a Forge Gun in hand I got 3x Gastun's Forge.
The theory is as follows: the Officer weapon type you make a roll for on the salvage table is based on the weapon you were using to the greatest effect in the match.
If you were not using any weapon to great effect you roll for all possible Officer weapons simultaneously.
A potential goof that resulted from trying to make salvage more relevant to what the player runs, maybe? |

i have a very simlar theory. in beta i played a lot of different weapons and what i found is that the weapons i used the most i seemed to drop the most often. so i dont have many thales and i belive none of the forge guns. but lots of ar's smgs and scrambler pistols as well as a few other things.
the normal salvage tended to be more random. though i could be wrong about it all.

Don't think it's true. In my case, it seems like the further I am from being able to skill into something, the higher chance I have to salvage it. |

Same here... You read a lot about how people who use a certain style of play never seem to find the officer weps they want... This seems ESP true for snipers and Thale's SRs.
Maybe they built the system to stimulate trade? For a trade system they hope to implement sometime in 2016?

I have exactly 0 points in heavies and I have 10-15 each of officer forge guns and hmgs.
I also salvaged a LOT of grenades when I spend games sniping from 250+ meters.
I've salvaged a few of several different officer weapons but ever since the respec and my speccing into sniping, I have gotten 0 Tahale's. But the weapons I have at level 0 or 1 I seem to get fairly regularly. |

Aye? Guess I've just been lucky then, my officer salvage has been of the only two weapons I'm significantly specced in. |

I am talking about the Gatsun weapons. I'm not getting any of them anymore and i did alot of merc battles. |
