"in CCPs 5 year plan"
unless they untilize optional respecs or "paid" respecs, the game is without diversity.
yeah sure its great advertising the game saying you can do this and that.. but you cant actually do that unless you skill into it
im bored of this game and i want to change up my game style.. but you woukd have me grind for another 2 years? to get my 17 mil sp back? and what of my sp i have spent on my old specialization??
until you input optional respecs your market and target audience will disappear... listen to the people who actually play the game and the fans.
to make the game successful in its first year of lauch respecs should be done monthly!! after that do what you want due to the ps4 coming out and noone will play this anyway.
said like a boss. Why would you want to drop your current specializations? Having many specializations is what makes your character more versatile. I thought you specialised in copy and paste. and fully upgraded douchbaggery Wrong guy. That was an impersonator with a similar name. You're jabbing the original.
To the subject: Balance issues are balance issues and have nothing to do with respecs.
Faulty descriptions are faulty descriptions and have nothing to do with respecs.
Bugs are (you guessed it) bugs and have nothing to do with respecs.
The SOONGäó coming economy can not even begin to work if there are about ten items that everyone wants one day and ten other items the next day because someone figured out a fit that does 3% more dps or CCP made miniscule changes. It can't operate with crash after crash after crash. Industrialists will not engage in such a hazardous and volatile environment.
Longetivity is harmed because people will just try everything out, stick with what they like and get bored either way. It's the time it takes that makes people appreciate their new gun/role. It took not even two days until people got fed up with their new stuff and the first new respec demands surfaced to get back to FOTM or switch to Flaylock.
Respecs devaluate all SP beyond about 15m because diversity is no longer earned through dedication and time but through isk or even AUR, making the SP system a short powergrind to some threshold and then meaningless. Boy, do i love grinding for the sake of it, rather than for it to transport meaning and weight into my decisions.
They deny new players the possibility to compete with completely new roles, as vets can just respec to ensure their dominance in everything indefinitely. Everything usefull, efficient or fun will already be occupied by vets who didn't have to play or even think for a second to earn it. This scares new players away as they feel useless and late no matter what and bores vets because there's virtually no possible challange that they could encounter, other than turf wars/meta (against other bored vets). |
