Its simple really. For armor replace the speed penalty with a stamina penalty. For Shields make it so shield extenders increasing the size of the players hitbox. Makes them easier to hit and locate on map. the increase wouldn't be massive but noticable. This way both things have a disadvantage and I think it evens them out a little.
Also keep the ferroscale and reactive plates but for goodness sake they need to have more hp on them to make it worthwhile |

The problem with armor is that the HP they is not worth the penalty, so they need higher HP. The problem with ferroscale and reactives is the CPU/PG required to use them. Currently armor suits use the most CPU/PG when stacking armor plates to come up to the same HP as a shield suit. |

Wait, so a comp plate with 115 HP bonus, with a change penalty to Stamina usage wouldn't be worth using?
You shall never be satisfied.
This is a perfectly reasonably penalty as opposed to just saying you move slower. |

I can make the post right now cause I'm on a mobile. |

Talking about vanilla plates not plates with this change. |

An easy way to fix armor/sheild balance? bring back the laser. Then body is safe. |
