Still havent fixed the issues with client side rendering ragdolls differently from what the server has, making invisible bodies.
Strategic use of shooting dead bodies to prevent revival still suffer from the lack of client-server sync leading to invisible dead bodies and "empty" carcasses.
Revive just got even sillier where you have a revive icon hovering over nothing, or even worse, hovering somewhere away from the body thats still visible at the distance.
Players not lining up with their hitbox due to server lag/latency often leading players to having to shoot "ahead of their target", or in cases like mine, "shooting behind the target" in order to get hits. Thats not to mention the plethora of wiffed hits that do no damage and have no hitmarker other than visual effects.
Hope you dont stop trying to fix this issue CCP just because no one is complaining about revive issues but I thank you for the quick fix even if it didnt fix the real problem. |

Not complaining about the revive mechanics. The revive icon is hovering over NOTHING, no body in sight, thats the problem I'm talking about. Sorry but I doubt they're gonna increase the shooting-dead-body radius to 50 meters as well. |

There needs to be some return traffic from the client when your body stops ragdolling, such that the server can show your new position and LAVs are no longer the best way to kill people (since they guarantee the loss of that clone).
Thats one solution but I get a feeling CCP is trying their best to keep the important stuff server sided and not client side. Very easy to hack client sided stuff. May not be the same on console as it is on PC, but say the client tells the server that player X is in front of player Y even if its not true. Player Y can shoot in front of him and kill player X even though player X sees himself on the other side of the map, player Y sees him as in front of him. |
