right now the heavy seems to be too weak...
a militia assualt rifle can kill a proto heavy easily when in close range..
im not here to talk about the hmg but the heavy suit in general.
it should have the highest resistance to damage.
when players see a heavy they chase it relentlessly across the entire map.. and since the suit is so slow that chase never lasts long the heavies only hope for survival is to make it to an area suitable for a stand where the heavy can kill its pursuers.
now ive gone toe to toe with heavys and i have used an hmg and all i can say is its like an assault rifle.
only bigger, less accurate, higher rof, shorter range,.
i have managed to kill plenty of proto heavys in close quarters.with an mlt ar in cheap gear.
i just think the heavy suit isnt strong enough for the role it seems to have been placed in.
i think it should have a higher overall damage resistance than all other suits..
its heavy armor and its supposed to take in all that focused fire and just shrug off alot of that damage but thats not what i see all i see is the heavys shields and armor get shredded in just a few seconds..
the heavy suit may have more shields and armor than all other suits but that doesnt help the fact that a single player can tear through a heavies shields and take away 200 or 300 armor with a ar clip...
i have done that with a mlt ar..
heavy armor is supposed to be like a tank. mobile cover for every1 else.
it should be very effective under fire... if u gave a scout user an hmg. how much damage do u think it could do? ..

now my second thing..
lets just remove alll those damage mods and damage resisntance thingies and just leave them in skills only.
and do some minor buffing and minor nerfing and do some tweaking until every thing else feels right where it should be.. |

i said that because those things r what made every 1 want to nerf everything thing.
they r the cause of alot of things like the logi lav.. 70% damage resistance with some other modules and u get a really fast tank.... |

it would take away mods and buff everything to be on the same playing level...
and heavy needs a buff to in damage protection because it dies to fast fast its supposed to be a tank that soaks up fire like a sponge every already chases them relentlessly across the map so shut up stupid troll..... |

i mentioned damage resistance since it could be demoralizing on the other team to see some with with over 1k shielding and armor.
and the other fact is that every 1 is going to focus fire on heavies any way assault seems fine. dont know anything about scout since i dont plan on getting 1.
the heavy is to weak for its role to be used as mobile cover.
i have seen mlt ars melt a heavies shielding and tear through the armor.
i know this because of done plenty of time myself.
and since the heavys hmg is short ranged.
they cant really do anything in a fire fight zone other than running away the comin in behind the enemy team...
they only thing the heavy is good at doing currently is guarding the supply depot... until it gets destroyed....
base hp of a heavy suit with armor and shield upgrades to 5 is 1012
506 armor and 506 shield.
on mlt suit its 380 armor...
so heavy get killed really fast unless they hid behind more mobile things this would just allow the heavy to be better at its job and give a better support role.
besides ppl already can solo a heavy with no problem.
i have seen ppl jumping up and down and moving all round and that seems to be effective in cqc so far when fighting a heavy...but 60rounds of an ar shouldnt be able to kill a single heavy. that number needs to be raised. |
