Something is seriously wrong with Shotguns, and CQC in General. As other here have pointed out, there are times when accurately shot shells do little to no damage. Also, and I can only speak for DS3 users, the aiming system this build is HORRIBLE. The main problem for us is this: It takes us too long to aim from point A to point B. When I'm not flanking with Dampners, I'm engaging enemies within cover(SInce I'm in sight of my enemies, Dampners are useless here, I still get put on the radar). I have very little time to properly aim once I step out of cover. The enemy/ies will "Mario" strafe and it's stupid hard to keep up with that since the aiming is gimped.
I'll try to describe a 1 v 1 scenario in detail, and how this goes for us:
1. Scan Enemies with Proto Active Scanner, the version I use keeps the scanned enemies on my teams radar for a whopping 25 seconds....Rarely does it have errors.
2. An enemy is scanned near my location, he is not in a flankable position, so the only option is to take him head on.
3. I catch my enemy by surprise (Let's assume I'm out of grenades before this started). I engage said enemy.
4. Reticule is lined perfectly on enemies chest. First shell fired. No damage given.
5. Enemy is fully aware he is in danger and now fights back, he is now moving....
6. Enemy strafes side to side and is firing at me with his AR. You try to engage but he is strafing faster than you can aim. Reagardless, you still try to kill him. Clip fully exhausted, two shells hit, negligible damage given.

7. You retreat to recover your health. Healing interrupted by the same enemy.
8. Once again your enemy fires his AR at you in close quarters, you are taking heavy damage. You try to fire back to save your life, but the inability to aim properly leads to your downfall.
9. Too much damage recieved, you are downed.
10. No Medic near bye, so you die. ************************************************************************************************************************************** --The current aiming system is problem # 1. The sensitivity is too slow at max, it's just not enough. It needs to be at least three times that amount as it's max.
--There's some weird acceleration going on when you turn your reticule, get rid of that, that's not helping. When I turn my reticule, I need it from point A to point B as soon as possible. I'm in close quarters, I don't have the luxury of extra time. Give us an option to disable acceleration, or get rid of it all together.
--Hit Detection?! Shots that should have hit aren't......It's not only effecting shotguns either from what I've seen so far.
In every FPS all I use are shotguns, I have much experience with using them. COD1 I used the M1014, in MW2-the AA12 with Extended Mags. In BO, it was the Bull-pup SG, although the 4 shell clip really gimped that one. In BF3 I used the 870 MCS with Slugs, which demand extreme accuracy to OHK efficiently in CQC, sway shots in particular are extremely difficult. In all my previously played FPShooters the aiming system has never been a problem for me.
Only in Dust514 have I ever had to endure such a gimped setup. Ridiculous CCP, this needs to be addressed. I read that the mouse at one time could bypass the aiming limitations, but that's been nerfed as well apparently. There are many other shotgunners out there similar to me, and when they try to play Dust 514 with shotguns for the first time, they will get frustrated and many will leave.
CCP you need to fix this, and you need to give us a SPECIFIC time table of when you'll implement the fix. A two month window of a guaranteed fix should suffice. This "Soon^tm" bs has got to stop, this just makes many of your player base angry. It's as if you mock us.
